I got my last 2 (actually 3) ATCs in the mail today.  Sad  I'm sad that it's over!  Let's do it again!!!  Who's in???

Anyway, here is my capital M from WideEyedLife.  She drew the ENTIRE thing, even the adorable cartoon girl!  The girl and the "M" are both raised onto cardboard, maybe?  It's so awesome.  I love it and it's an excellent first letter for my name!!

Then, I got the lowercase "s" and the "." on it's own card!  I love it!!  They are both raised and the period is tri-colored...  I don't know what it's made of, so let me know if you figure it out!  It's amazing!

Thanks, lovlies, and I would love to swap with any of you any time!!!  This was an awesome swap and I can't wait for the next round - Hint, hint!

Yay, yay, yay!!  I have been checking my mailbox daily, and lately it has been woefully bare.... BUT, today I got TWO!!  And, I absolutely love them both!!  I got the "K" for my Pirate ABC's from gozer in a personal swap and the "T" from Brackish Potato.  OMG, let me just say that they are both amazing!  I have 5 of my 26 letters now and it's starting to look like a set!  (Please note:  I left my good camera at school, so I had to take these pictures with my phone, because I just couldn't wait until tomorrow!)

Here is my "K."  Let me just tell you, I sent gozer a hand-drawn one, too, and I am really wishing I could take it back.  I am so impressed and intimidated by the amazing detail on this card!

I totally <3 my Treasure Map from Brackish Potato!  She even distressed the edges to give it that worn, Pirate-Map look!!!  I think it's awesome!!

Thanks, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I'm lame and don't know how to go back and add pictures to my previous posts, so when I get all of my cards, I will put up a new post with my whole set!  But, I only have ONE letter in my name....  Sad  IDK what happened to the rest....

Thank you, jmiller! That card caused me so much anxiety!!  Smiley  I guess my note to not put the envelope through the machine went ignored...  It looks like the top is crushed and the center has a crease down it.  Sad

Anyway, I received from Jillybeans today, and I got an envelope of goodies, TOO!  I am sooooo happy and excited to play with my stuff!  I got some super fun paper to play with, some pages from the infamous Sherlock Holmes book and my WONDERFUL "E is for Eye patch" ATC!  It's the top quarter of a pirate's face and I LOVE it!!  My pirate ABC's are starting out amazingly!!  Thank you to everyone who has made me one!!

Thanks, Jillybeans!!!!!!!

9/15/11 - From MichellesCraftBasket

F is for Firebolt!  And here is the coolest firebolt replica on the card!  My husband and I both ooooed and aaaahhed as we pulled it out of the envelope.  The love the gradient background, too.  So cool!

And we did a personal swap and she sent an extra!

A birthday surprise (my birthday was 9/1) and a sparklie cupcake.  I'm pretty sure it has real sprinkles on it, too.  Its coated with something shiny.  I love the backgrounds on both cards, so fun!  Thanks, Michelle!

Yay, Jillybeans!  Those were my favorite ATCs that I've done so far!!!  The gradient background was done with my new Tim Holtz Distress Inks....  I took the Wild Honey and Barn Door and just started distressing!  The backgrounds on both the "Happy Birthday" and the cupcake were done with my homemade misters.  I used water and food coloring in a mini mister to try to create the Perfect Pearls/Shimmer Mists that Tim Holtz also uses (but I'm poor!) I sprayed directly onto the "Happy Birthday" background, and I sprayed onto my craft mat, and then put the paper on top of the spray for the cupcake background.  All three of my ATCs started on plain white printer paper!

On your cupcake, those are real sprinkles!  I told you in a PM a while ago that I had some of your ATC out on the counter in the kitchen and husband threw it away - I had the sprinkles on a tray and I sprayed them with a few coats of Spray Acrylic, so keep them nice and not sticky and keep forever!  Anyway, husband was picking up the kitchen and threw them away.  How could he not know art when he sees it??  So, I had to start all over with my spraying and drying and turning and spraying again!  Smiley

I'm so excited you got them/like them!  I was very excited for you to get your envelope because, like I said, these are my favorite so far!  <3

OK, thanks, jmiller614, for the tutorial on how to post pictures!  So, without further ado, here are the ATCs that I have received so far!

First, I have the t for my teacher-themed name (Mrs. Smith,) from MintDawn!  Make sure that you notice that the array of colors behind my "t" are colored pencils!  Yay!

Next I have my letter "B" for my Pirate ABC's, from jmiller614!  I LOVE it, including the sword that's still in the body  Here is "B is for Bones:"

Now, this is from a personal swap, but Jillybeans IS in my group, and it DOES go with my theme, so I'm sneaking it in here!  For my Pirate ABC's, "Grog!"

LOVE THEM ALL!
