1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hi, everyone on: August 30, 2011 10:56:13 PM
Oohh, I hope someone can find it!  That would make an RAAR grr ugggh clock for my room!  My crochet googling skills sucks so I'm no help finding it.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First couple crochet projects on: August 16, 2011 05:23:17 PM
I learned to crochet last month while I was stuck in bed with Lyme disease.  I made a couple test pieces to learn the stitches then off I went.
First real project: crochet mouse toy stuffed with cat nip

Next I tried tapestry crochet (I think that's what it's called?)

Then I started on my big charity project.  My mom does mission work in Lithuania's rural areas and they take Christmas to some orphanages out there.  The kids get plenty of winter stuff but it is basic, generic stuff.  I wanted the girls to have something pretty and functional so I decided to make a set of a basic brain protector and the Luna Lovegood scarf (thanks to pinkleo for letting me use the pile of flesh) to send to as many girls as I could.  I have until the first week of December so I am going to be crocheting my fingers off.

I eat this!  I have a similarly foul mouth so I think this is hysterical.  I can't wait to show it to my best friend (and former roommate)
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Pikmin (now with pile of flesh) on: August 09, 2011 04:43:25 PM
Thank you for posting the pile of flesh!  I can't wait to make my own  Grin  I actually think these might make some cute dog and cat toys too (yes, my animals get nerdy toys)
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Some more blankets on: August 09, 2011 04:40:49 PM

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How important is the way you hold your hook? on: August 09, 2011 04:38:20 PM
I went to my first crochet night last night and discovered I do a kind of strange knife hold.  I tried the pencil hold but it did not work with my illness.  The knife was better but I had to adjust it.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: use for small amount of yarn? on: August 09, 2011 04:32:07 PM
Do you have pets?  I've been using small amounts to make dog and cat toys.  You can buy cat nip and squeakers for super cheap to add to them.

9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Amigurumi overload! (image heavy) on: July 29, 2011 04:12:46 PM
Those are great!  I eat the pig.  I've been trying to think of ideas for my best friend's Christmas and birthday (poor girl was born on Christmas) and since she collects pigs, I think I've found my idea for her birthday!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Good Projects for a Beginner? on: July 26, 2011 08:49:26 PM
I think I just died and went to nerd pile of flesh heaven!  And I eat the Madagascar Penguins patterns Grin  I eat eat eat penguins so those are definitely going in my "when I have the skillz" folder.
