I can't believe I didn't see this post until now.  Keelin and I love the blanket, it's very snuggly.

Thanks Laura

I'm in awe of everyone's quilts.  You are all so talented.  I'm not wanting to work on mine currently because my sewing machine is on the fritz, but maybe I'll clean off the sewing table today and see if it'll start working.

Awesome!!  I love your style.  It's simple (which I really like), it flows and it's all about the pictures and the story not some fun paper you found or cute stickers.  I aspire to build scrapbooks like this.  (Sadly I'm a little addicted to the paper and stickers  Undecided).
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: April 10, 2007 08:12:21 PM
I have a tattoo in the small of my back.  I managed to get through 2 pregnancies without stretches in it.  But my third pregnancy I found stretch marks in it (which is odd since I gained less weight?!?!).  I think between the shoulder blades would be better if it's a concern.  I still like the way my tattoo looks and I don't think it's very obvious.

Superstitch, I love those fabrics!!  That quilt will be gorgeous.

Here are pics of mine in progress.

The part that's actually put together is just the middle panels with the 2 borders.  I laid the rest out so you could kind of get an idea of what it will look like.  I'll also be hand appliqueing bamboo leaves on the dark blue part.

And here are the rough diagrams of what the finished quilt will look like.

I actually started a little bit of piecing this afternoon, but then my sewing machine started acting up.  Hopefully I can get it to behave tonight after the kids go to bed and I can cuss at it freely.

What a great idea.  I also have a quilt that's been in the works for about 4 years now.  My husband keeps bugging me to get it done so it can go on our bed.  It's a quilt I designed with a little help from my mom, the expert quilter.  I'll try and get it out and post pics tomorrow.  Can't wait to see everyone else's quilts!

I like it!  You did an excellent job piecing for a first timer, all your points match up!!  (which is the hardest part of quilting).

Great Job

I love the pattern and the fabrics look great in it.  I'll definitely be getting the pattern.  Beautiful work!
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dreadlocks on: October 19, 2006 11:34:52 PM
I've had my dreads now for 7-8 months.  I'm annoyed with them now knotting up at the ends.  It doesn't matter what I do the last 2-3 inches is silky and won't stay knotted.  I'm really confused by the crochet method everyone keeps talking about and can't make it work for me.  Anyone have any suggestions?
