I received my chain scarf from mama24boyz. Hubby thought he would channel his inner bob Marley. Once I explained to him what it is (he's not a very fashion savvy bloke!) he thought it was great. I love the colours and I cannot wait until its winter here so I can wear it. Thank you!

2  Dalek T-Shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by RachaelD on: February 10, 2013 11:33:01 PM
well I have been "quarantined" for the last week and a half with tonsilitis, so I have been trying to keep myself busy.  Along with my husband, my nephew is the biggest Dr Who nerd out there (well my hubby did teach him everything he knows!)  For his 13th bday, I have made the following t-shirt.  Well I didn't make the t-shirt itself, it is store-bought, but the dalek and wording were my addition - completed with t-shirt vinyl.  of course hubby got one too - but his is a green tshirt.  Feedback welcome!

Glasskicker and Nolansmomster, both of you can breathe a sigh of relief!

First up my gorgeous scarf from Nolansmomster!  The photo does not do it justice!  This was my only chance to get the photo taken before my mum stole it!  lol.  I was going to give it to her anyway, but as soon as she saw it, she had to have it!  The colours are GORGEOUS!!!

And my pendants from Glasskicker.  I wore the yellow one to work and everyone wanted it!  And I had to own up it wasn't one I had made myself Sad Wink  Both are so well made!  I must admit that fusing is one thing I want to try once I finally get my kiln!

Thank you both!!!

5  Dalek Family in Completed Projects by RachaelD on: January 23, 2013 12:48:27 AM
Ok, My hubby is the biggest nerd.  He wanted a vinyl "family" for the back window of his car.  But of course it had to be something nerdy! lol.  This is our Dalek family and two K9s.  My circles on the Daleks aren't perfectly round, but you can tell what they are!  Feedback welcome!

6  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 30 (signups until Jan 7, Send by Feb 4) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by RachaelD on: January 06, 2013 11:53:44 PM
Is it too late to join?

I would like to offer up these sterling silver rings.  Made from 16 gauge sterling wire and hammered for texture, I then add a 4mm gemstone in a setting.  I can make these in any size.  Shown in lab-created Sapphire - I can also do lab-created Ruby, lab-created Emerald, Amethyst, Citrine, Smoky Quartz, Cubic Zirconia, or Garnet.

I'll do up my questionnaire now.

7  Dalek Cushion - 1st attempt at sewing in a long time! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by RachaelD on: December 22, 2012 10:57:33 PM
Hi All!

My nephew is the biggest Doctor Who nerd (after my hubby of course!), so I decided to have a go at doing a Dalek cushion for his bed.  I set up my sewing machine and realise I have forgotten how to sew!  Anyway, after 3 attempts and several hours, I present my finished Dalek cushion complete with a zip and some basic piping around the edge!  Feedback welcome!

Finally I am able to post the pic of the awesome felt 3D TARDIS I recieve from KimmyLynne82.  Apologies for the delay - this interent is driving me insane, it keeps dropping out all of the time!  Anyway, we are changing providers this weke, so hopefully it will be all good from now on!  Photo isn't very good as I had to take it with my phone.  You get the idea though - my TARDIS is FANTASTIC!  My hubby - the ultimate Dr Who nerd has already stolen it from me.  Thanks so much KimmyLynne!

9  Re: 80's Cartoon Swap Rd 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by RachaelD on: February 14, 2012 10:17:20 PM
I received my wonderful package from Qaisor last week.  My apologies for the delay in posting pics - my internet is going stupid on me lately!

A cute little felt star purse.

The jewellery above is made from clay and each staf has the face of one of the Rainbow Brite characters.  I am going to make a white teddy bear and use the jewellery as her accessories Smiley

Rainbw Brite's horse.  One of my projects for this year is going to be turning Barbie Dolls into my favourite cartoon characters - Starlight is PERFECT to go with this project.

This little Rainbow Brite box is hand painted and decorated with rainbow ribbon and a rainbow brite picture on top.

Sorry the photo is sideways!  This is my favourite!  A smurfette with a handmade mushroom!  These are sitting in front of my computer Smiley

And there was also some vintage Rainbow Brite fabric which my silly phone camera wouldn't photograph.

Thanks so much Julie!

These are the great items I received from SilverMoon!

First up is the scarf.  Hubby is facinated how it is a "curly" scarf Smiley  And it is still cool enough here to wear for a few more weeks!

Next up is this so cute Moon clock - right from my Wist!  It's going in my craft room.

This hairclip is from my Wist or Etsy favourites- can't remember where, but it is exactly what I wanted!  You may not be able to tell from the pics, but I have very thick hair, and love anything colourful to hold it back!  Photo doesn't do the colours justice!

The bears are just gorgeous!  Thee are hubby's favourite!  I have already placed them in my bear cabinet.  Here they are sitting against the white dress of my bear bride.

And more rainbows (I love rainbows!) - a tag clip I can put on my bag.  I am going to use it on my luggage when I go overseas again so it will definately stand out!

And there was also a box of American lollies.

Thanks so much SilverMoon - I love it all!
