1  13 days Halloween in The Swap Gallery by Quasior on: October 08, 2012 10:34:33 PM
Reserved for Quasior's Gallery

Looks like I have 3 days to post, and a question to pose.  I have to have surgery on Monday with a chance of a broken jaw  Shocked do I open early or probably need to post late?  Anyways: Here is the wonderful pics of the lovely loot from Calixita - she puts my abilities to shame !!

Day 13

NOW this one is probably the one where the candy got loose all over the box, there was also reece pumpkin cups, which I won't get to try boo hoo (that's cool.) and rolos yummy American rolos - they taste different here!

Cute bags!  They crop up a lot!

Day 12

Day 12 - I hope I got this right, I may have mixed up 12/11 because I was naughty and opened them both today and although Laura kindly gave me an inventory, I'm not using it as to not spoil my surprise:

I love everything Laura, check out the talented beautiful dolls, my children said they were undead bride and groom Smiley  I'm happy to roll with that!!  The knitted/crochet eyeballs, fantastic!  I can't do that kind of thing !!
oh and the hoop and the web, there is just soo much awesomeness in that package!!!

Day 11

It's amazing, the detail in the banner, I either has incredible fine motor skills or it was a punch.  The crochet skulls are so cute!  I forgot to take a photo of the beautiful bat and full moon bunting, so I'll have to do that later (please remind me if I don't).  And a multitude of halloween deco's - I will have to organise a last minute party now (o crap I can't because of that dang surgery :/)  Maybe an early one on Saturday?

Day 10

By the way I absolutely love the coffin - did you make this?  Incredible!

OMG please forgive my crappy photography!  I think we were both inspired by the same muse for some of these items Laura, though you have done it better by far!  The kids will love those tatts!  The colouring, is that for food?  Glow-in-the-Dark nailpolish and a spooky mask for my spooky partner, thanks so much Smiley  Cannot wait to open more!!! Cheesy

Day 9

yum lollies green tea ones, and inchies, and I love inchies thanks so much

Day 8

some buttons and a mini tree thingy (i love these so much)

Day 7

Presents to share: we all got a T-Shirt each (and they all fit YAY thanks Laura  Wink ) only pictured here is the childrens, I'm not sure if Andrew is brave enough but we took a pic of just us two as well, might have to sneak it in somehow but its on his camera ...

Left to Right: Raven had a Release the Kraken! handpainted top; Dante has an scary Angler fish (just quietly they creep me out too  Wink ); Kai has a zombie Elephant, he's ellie mad; Labyrinth in purple has Jack from Nightmare before Xmas which is amazing; Monika in pink has a wonderful Halloween Tinkerbell which is not too creepy and more girly which is perfectly her.  She painted me a wonderful raven in front of a huge pentagram  Cheesy and Andrew's is a scary skull.  Very skilled at painting, they are wonderful and everybody loves theres, and I am soooo happy I fit mine, officially down to an XL  Embarrassed but  Grin moment!

Day 6

Cannot believe it's going so fast.  Yes, it's early but not too early here, it's ten to nine.
It's jewelry day and an altered jar!

My favourite is the Raven earrings, though I am loving everything!

Day 5

Book Day! first up: Poe - Love Poe!!

mini handmade leather bound books which are awesome and earmarked for my shadow box house

some of the same I made into ATCs for Calixta
And an amazing altered tin with story on the lid concertina style

Day 4
Coffin Day:
sweet!
a fabulosa collection!!

Day 3

a set of three photos Calixta took herself at cambridge and altered frames

Day 2

a feather pen and fingerless gloves, they don't feel like wool/yarn so should be good to go next winter

I got my inchies today from Sakaki!  It was a mixture of themes, but she's the only one brave enough to attempt the Day of the Dead and they are fabulous!!!

Lots of detail in there, and will fit in nicely with my rainbow project.  I'm going to have to count decide if I have enough to complete it yet, doubtful...

Thank you Elaine for another wonderful swap Smiley

Details of swap:

This is going to be an interesting swap I hope!  It's going to work like a regular swap, you get one partner and you have two weeks to complete and send your amazing 9 inchie masterpiece.  The nine inchies will go together to complete a larger picture, and there are two more important things you need to know - It's going to be looking through a window into a scene.  You can choose one of two themes which will be splitting the inchiests into two teams (which means you may not get your first choice, but we'll try very hard to match everyone to the theme they like.)  Quasior will be leading the team "Summery Christmas" and suueedee will be leading the "Nature" team.  So what will you have to send?  9 inchies that combine into a large picture that will be overlooking a natural scene or a summery Christmas theme.

Also it is important to note: when you need to communicate with the organiser you've been teamed with you must include the swaps name for when you send your questionnaire, when you send and when you receive.  And you need to make sure you can post the amazing art you receive or your partner can do it for you  Wink  It is also common courtesy to put your name and the title of the inchie and which number inchie of the set it is in this format 1/9, 2/9 etc going across from left to right top to bottom.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer(s): Quasior and Seeuudee

I know I have to upload my inchies to Pioneer too, but life hasn't been kind this last week with children sick and so forth... but I did recieve two sets of inchies one day, and another set the next!  So I have three sets to share (but I have to go looking for yours pioneer - they were taken on a phone cam.

These are from Jill Hogan, thanks Jill!

They will fit into my rainbow inchie project very nicely!

These ones are from Plucky, thanks Plucky!

for someone who thinks she can't draw she did a great job!  Don't be so hard on yourself, I love them.

And these are my quilted set from Nilmerg, amazing!

I think they are fantastic, thank you so much!

Again, I'll get those ones from Pioneer up as soon as I can get the phone to communicate again with my laptop.

I edited because I just realised they were the wrong pics for Jill's inchies *facepalm* sorry Jill

7  Re: WWP Round 36 - Midsummer Envelope Swap - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Quasior on: July 06, 2012 02:17:16 AM
Hey Rosie - good news my snail mail (literally) finally arrived.  I know to expect this with packages and now envelopes too  Wink  I was just thinking it wasn't updated.  Anyways I love it!! The recipe could be adapted to be gluten free easily enough (though I've never made sour dough) and it sounds yummy.  It was Broccoli Bread Bowls - they've only just started cropping up locally too recently for me to have tried before becoming GF... The card was cool, but I loved the bunting - she put a lot of effort into that and I now have it up on my mantle with lots of other treasured things  Wink

Here is the cute card:

And the bunting is in three parts:

Thank you Rosie~I love buntings!  I'm making one for each sabbat to put up, Samhain first lol~ This was a fun swap thank you Wulf!  I guess my PM must have been lost to say it was on it's way maybe, but it was certainly worth the wait.
