53  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / book eater...i mean cover on: August 29, 2005 03:57:12 AM
here is my book eater, my dad says it reminds him of the monster book from harry potter, lol, which is funny cause i want to make a book cover out of furry fabric. but here is some felt in the mean time. i am sooo ridiculously proud! it looks so much more "professional" than i would have thought i could make it. lol. it's not like it is that complicated but for some reason i am just proud of myself, hehe. and i have much much more respect for people who hand sew things!

note: i just got photobucket, (it's sept. 2005) so i changed the links, lemme know if they work!

54  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / pro-active flaker idea on: August 26, 2005 02:39:17 AM
i just had a thought about this whole swap flaking issue.

While it sounds like many people really dont have much extra time what with kids and all, etc. etc. but maybe the people in a swap who have some extra extra time could craft an extra whatever so that if someone gets flaked on, people could send them something!

it wont stop people from flaking but it would be nice for the victims of flaking.

just a thought
55  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 5 ENTRIES / perled pearls on: August 24, 2005 06:46:36 PM
hahaha, ok that's not true but it sounds catchy and they look like pearls (tho not in these crappy pics, lol) I actually crocheted this bracelet, and it is made out of one spool of beads that look like they are of the same species as mardi gras beads, as if the breads were molded on the string. i had to use a huge 16mm/size Q hook because it tangles weird,

what i originally wanted to do was make a wallet out of electrical wire, the nifty striped kind, but it took soooo long and i couldnt finish it in time, lol.  but i just want to be part of the *~FUN~* !!! so here's a bracelet!

57  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting, yarn font?? on: August 20, 2005 04:36:09 PM

58  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / craft book swap on: August 03, 2005 05:52:08 PM
i had this idea, and i dont know where to post it, so hopefully here is OK. lol

OK, so i get on these kicks where i buy a bunch of books and supplies for some craft and i get really into it/have a blast, and than after a while i am DONE. like i have made all i want using the technique and i am left with books and supplies i no longer want to use.

So if anyone else is like this, I thought it might be fun to have a swap of books/supplies.  it would be soo cool! we could all get a new obsession and then when we are done, swap again. It could be a once a month/3 months/whatever, or as people get tired of their latest craft they could swap with other people who are tired.

whaddaya think? lol
