My dyed locks came in from SlickMariaVic!  I completely adore them.  I've actually already started spinning them up!  I've spun locks before, and I've spun alpaca, but these suri locks are a totally different experience.  So smooth and long and soft.

Did you have to paint the dye on to get the 'gradient', or dip dye, or what?  I'm curious because I've wanted to try dyeing some locks up myself, too, and these are perfect.

My outstanding package from zombiecazz came the other day!  This might get a little pic heavy...

1) Something local: A Scottish flag (I collect flags!  I wasn't expecting a big one like this, they're the best!  I want to cover my walls someday.)

And candy! (much of which never made the picture Smiley)

That there in the bottom corner is 2) something hard, A crocheted drawstring bag made to look like an eyeball:

Which, by the way, is also full of candy (hard candy, hence something hard.  Very yummy.)

3) Something Recycled: a hat, which is sewn up from a former sweater.  This is very me, and fits perfect.

4) Something funny: I love this!  (yarn)ball sack bag!  Full of yarn already, of course:

5) something M: mug cozies!  The argyle one is from my pinterest, and then she also made me an eyeball one!  So creative!  Also pictured is a scottish keychain.

6) Something green: knit slippers.  Suuuuuuper warm and soft.  I don't suppose you could point me toward a patten for these, could you zombiecazz?  I've gotten requests from people for their own already.

7) something dotted: MUG!  mugmugmug!  She MADE this, people.  This is so beautiful!

The other side.  i don't even know what to say.  I love the art on it, and the colour and design.  It's completely perfect.

And finally, 8 ) senders choice: Yarn!  Really, really soft yarn.  No idea what to make with it yet!  I'm looking for a pattern though Smiley

THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I hope you like what I made as much as I love everything you made!

Here is my WONDERFUL rainbow roll up!!! I LOVEIT!  I was studying a little -jtlhmmwabodf did you have to put 2 diff coloured threads intothe machine to sew through both layers?  Wow its so well made Wink  I cant wait to put my crochet hooks into it!!

ps where does your name come from? (curiosity killed the cat!!) I must confess every time i type it i have to go and copy and paste it as i cant remember how to type it Wink

I'm glad you like it!  I used a coloured spool thread (to fit the rainbow theme) and kept the bottom (bobbin) thread white.  I don't know how familiar you are with sewing, but you use the two (top and bottom) strings anyway, mine were just different coloured.  And my name is just gibberish!  It used to be an acronym for something that I've long forgotten.  I use it when I play games online too and love hearing people trying to pronounce it over the mic Tongue

Anyway!  So I've had all my packages for a while and was very bad about posting pictures.  Midterm season Sad

First off is my amazing stamped copper pendant.  It's my mom's name.  I plan to surprise her with it, since she always complains that she can never find things with her name on it (as you can imagine... Smiley)

Second is my cuff!  I've been wearing it constantly, fits perfect.  Love the colours, and it is just so amazingly well made.

Third!  Vinyl wristlet.  I love this SO MUCH.  It has literally gone everywhere with me since I got it.

Fouth!  Pocket puzzle notebooks.  To-Do lists have been a necessity for me lately, so they're my designated lists book.  One is pretty much half full already Tongue

These were for my sister, and they now adorn her bag.  The picture makes it a little hard to see (she only had her phone), but there's a sloth astronaut, minecraft diamond ore, the skyrim shadowmark for loot, a banana sticker from metalocalypse, the danish flag, and 'bassists are sexy' (she plays bass, of course).

Thank you everyone!  This was an awesome round.  Sorry it took so long to get pictures up!

number one.  holding my doodads.

and number two.  keeping my yarn safe.  I didn't get pictures of the bottom, but it's quilted in a spiral.  the other one is quilted in spiraling straight lines.

Thank you!  I love the colours.

5  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 32 (signups end 8/19, Green by 9/12, Send by 9/16) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by jtlhmmwabodf on: August 06, 2013 11:26:05 AM
jtlhmmwabodf - what are rollups? Smiley sorry about my ignorance!  Tongue

Yeah, bad name, but I couldn't think of anything else to call them.  They're this:

You flip the top down so they don't fall out and roll it up.  Roll-up storage for pencil crayons!

As for knitting, would anyone want one of these http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/soft-baskets?  If I have time for a knit item, which it's looking like I maybe might not anyway Sad

Okay, Craftster photo hosting was being a butt for a while, so I was having issues uploading pics until now.  I've received everything!

Soap dish from sweetyetevil!  I'm saving it for my dorm in Sept -- already packed it away in my box of kitchen stuff, even Tongue.

Lucky penny necklace from underthemountain!  Worn it a bunch of times, love it.  There was another stamped penny, but I lost it Sad  This is why I can't have nice things.

Stitch markers from hazelly!  Haven't had a chance to use them yet cos I'm knitting stuff on huge needles right now.  I love how they even have little leaves!

And lip balm from nolansmomster!  I'm working my way through tropical punch.  But they're all yummy.

I also got a mini swap kit from koalascout, but the picture has vanished on me.  It looks like the one mama24boyz posted.  It's a good excuse to swap more, and should really come in handy!

Thanks everyone!  Can't wait for the next round.

Got my wrap bracelet kit from Avesthel -- all made up:

I like how, not only do I get a cool bracelet, but I also got the entertainment of making myself a cool bracelet.  So much fun.  Thanks!

(And is that a Metalocalypse shirt I spy upthread?  Awesome)

My scarf from kbrison came yesterday!

Unfortunately, it was about 30C yesterday (86F, I think), so no action shots!  It's going to have to hang on my wall and look pretty for a few months Tongue

Thank you!!

My stenciled shirt from Eiseldora came in the mail yesterday!

The most amazing Firefly shirt literally ever (not such an amazing photo, sorry).  It is glued to my torso.  I will never take it off.  For real.  I am in total AWE of how beautiful this is, and how well made it is, and I am SO thrilled to have received it!  Thank you SO MUCH!

My suncatcher from Glasskicker came in the mail today!  I put it up in the window immediately, of course.

It was a cloudy, rainy day today.  Maybe tomorrow there will be some actual sun to shine through it Tongue

I love it, thanks!  I'm always amazed by glass art.
