Hello, I've been lurking around for about a week and have finally decided to sign up. I somehow ended up on craftster through a Doctor Who website... Random, I know! However, after going through the swap galleries, and seeing what beautiful things you guys make for people you don't even know, I fell in love with this friendly and open community!
My main crafts are jewellery making, using mainly basic techniques but I'm always experimenting. I also enjoy papercrafts, especially decopatching, which I use to decorate wooden beads to create unique jewellery. Since discovering craftster, I've started making inchies as well and I'm planning on making some ATC's soon. I'm trying to save up for a sewing machine, as I'd like to get into sewing, and I've attempted cross stitching which I thought is quite good as well. Also, I've got all supplies I need to cast resin and make my own pendants, but I haven't really got a good room (with good ventilation etc) to get properly started.
I currently live in the UK, but will be going to China for 6 months soon, and will move back in with my parents in The Netherlands afterwards. When in China, I'll be teaching English to pre-school or primary school children, so I'm hoping to use quite some crafts in my lessons! I've also organised several craft and activity mornings for local disabled children over the past year.
Well, that's pretty much me, lol. I'm looking forward to getting to know other crafty people!
