I made this duck as a custom request for a family friend. She required it to be baby safe, and also wanted me to make it in blue yarn. I made up the pattern myself, and it was all an experiment but I'm really pleased with how it turned out, especially seeing as I only taught myself how to crochet last November. The head, body and tail are actually all one piece. The wings, bill and feet (flippers?) were made separately, and the bill actually 'opens' up. Instead of using safety eyes like I normally do, I used blue, black and white felt for the eyes and just stitched them in place.
Please tell me what you think! (please excuse my logo on the photos)
Hey everyone, I've been a member here for about 1 or 2 weeks now, but I only just came across the introduction board
I am from Sydney, Australia and I actually hate hot weather! My main hobby is crocheting animal amigurumi. I taught myself how to crochet last November, and have had lots of fun since! I sell my own items and have lots of fun doing so. At Craftster, I hope to meet many new people and learn lots of new things!
