1  Washington / Washington: West / are there any cool craft markets/retro bazaars/bizarre bazaars in seattle? on: December 14, 2004 01:42:16 PM
my boy just got back from Portland and got to go to the Portland arts and crafts market - he even brought me back a great bottle cap pin.  I'm wondering if there is anything like that in Seattle on the weekends?  With craftster-type crafts?
2  Washington / Washington: West / Puget Sound Knitters or Crafters? on: October 18, 2004 09:37:42 AM
Hi - I am moving to Oak Harbor in a few weeks, and wonder if there are any knitters or crafters in the area?  Also, are any good bazaars I can maybe sell some of my stuff in this coming holiday season?  If you wanna, you can see a few of my things at http://fidgetybudgie.typepad.com/photos/knit/index.html.  So yeah, if there's anyone out there in Oak Harbor or thereabouts, or in Bellingham, where I might end up living for a while, give me a shout.  I'm hoping to teach some knitting classes when we get settled in too, so if anyone's interested, lemme know.
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Can you Gocco for me? on: July 20, 2004 09:11:30 AM
Hi fellow Craftsters!  I am looking for someone to make me some fabric tags - the kind you sew into garments and accessories.  I am going to be selling some handbags and want to have tags to sew into them.  I'm looking for someone who has a gocco or other silkscreener who can make some for me. I'd like them on some sort of ribbon, that can be folded in half and then sewn into the seam of an item, so that the folded edge sticks out and the ends are hidden in the seam.  Something maybe 1 to 2 inches long before folding?  Please private message me if you can do this and let me know what info you need, what format I'd need to send the art, how long it might take, and what kind of price you'd charge.  Thanks!!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Sea shells on: April 13, 2004 08:18:36 AM
Hey - my boyfriend's mom sent me this nice box of shells from the beach in texas - they've been in the box ever since but I'd really like to do something nice with them.  I thought about a curtain, but that really wouldn't go with our house.  Anyone have any ideas?  I would like to use them somehow at home, rather than make a bunch of small things that I give away - basically I wanna keep 'em, but use them for something.

Thanks!!
