1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / bunnies, bears, and a bird on: December 12, 2012 03:31:02 PM
So I just got hooked on trying my hand at making plush animals, and I kind of like it. Here are a few things I made up with links to patterns.

I really like this bunny from Martha Stewart

http://www.marthastewart.com/907608/stuffed-menswear-bunny?czone=crafts/sewing-cnt/sewing-projects&center=326405&gallery=275245&slide=907608

Another really super cute bunny better suited for little hands

A unique style of bear, but still adorable...just maybe not in green plaid...he looks a little like gumby.

Folk art style bear. I feel like this could be made into a cat with a little adjustment.

Cute bear, but such a headache. He'll be headless until Friday since I'm out of stuffing. This tutorial was terrible. The instructions were extremely vague and the photos were of very little help. I had to do a ton of tweaking to get this to look normal. She says beginners can do it because it's super easy, but I disagree. I would suggest intermediate to advanced sewers only.

And finally, a green and white bird. I'm planning to make more and turn it into a mobile for a baby shower I'll be attending soon.

Thanks for looking Smiley

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Jewelry Bouquet- a wee bit image heavy ;) on: August 07, 2012 01:09:29 PM
My beautiful Mother in law wanted to make her niece a jewelry bouquet for her to carry at her wedding rehearsal. She started out making it herself, but things were not going well so I steeped in and took over. MIL did the wiring of the jewelry and ran them through the flowers, I arranged them, and finished it off.

Sarah loved the bouquet as did the other ladies at the shower Smiley

Details of swap:
Have you been looking for the perfect apron lately? Then this is your chance to get one to fit your style! From crafting to baking to gardening to cleaning the sky is the limit for what you need an apron for!

To keep crafting as even as possible, I will do my best to match people who want the same size of apron. You will need to communicate with your partner about their measurements and desired lengths.

You do not have to send extras, but if you and your partner are ok with them then go for it, but they are not required in this swap! This should be a fun swap, and the crafting time is roughly 3 weeks, so plenty of crafting time.
Please make sure you post in this thread at least once a week so I know you are still with us.

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Kitchen Apron Swap on: January 20, 2012 05:57:56 PM

I've been looking for a new apron to wear around while cooking, and I thought it could be a fun swap. If interested, there could be two groups one for those that would like half aprons, and one for those that would like a full apron. I would be willing to host the swap. Any feedback or ideas about the possible swap would be great!
