1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / LIMBO / Dean Winchester and Castiel dolls from Supernatural on: June 11, 2014 01:17:24 PM
Moved from: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=459.0

Ack, sorry the images are all hella large.

I made these dolls for a friend over on Tumblr. They never made it as far as the auction block once she found out about them. I had a lot of fun with them and have actually made a second set for myself.

Dean's amulet was hand-modelled (or rather mutilated, given my lack of sculpting talent), molded, and then cast in resin. I brushed a layer of bronze powder on the inside of the mold so that it would fuse permanently with the resin as it cured.

Castiel's wings are held on with heavy snaps, so that they can be removed if desired.

2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Dragon Age 2 Anders Sackboy on: April 30, 2014 06:45:28 PM
A while ago someone asked me to make Anders from DA2. I have a confession to make, I hated that game and I really hated what they did to Anders' character in it. I'm still glad I got the chance to make the doll, though, because he looks a lot cuter and a lot less jaded and possessed!

Yarn selection being what it is around here, I combined aspects and colors from both his outfits.

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Dragon Age Anders Sackboy on: April 30, 2014 06:41:52 PM
A friend of mine really likes Anders from Dragon Age: Awakening, and got this for herself as a birthday present. There are some changes I'd make if I made him again, but he was still fun.

I don't bother putting zippers into 95% of my sackboy characters because their costumes are so involved that they'd get in the way and you wouldn't be able to see them in any case, ha ha.

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Castiel and Dean Winchester minis! (Supernatural) on: February 18, 2014 04:56:13 PM
I did these as a trade for a friend, since she's being super nice and sending me some kitchen stuff. I hope she likes them! :3 They're my first shot at characters from Supernatural.

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Zevran and Jowan from Dragon Age: Origins on: July 11, 2011 05:00:33 PM
Apart from some cuttlefish as presents, these are the first two amis I've completed in years! I've got several other characters in progress, as well. :3

Zev's about 9" tall, and Jowan's about 4.5".

Zevran Arainai:

Jowan Amell:

I used felting needles on Jowan's hair. I've never tried them before and I'm really happy with the results!
