CLM, the Cuttlebug embossing folders should work just fine in your Big Shot, same thing with dies. You may need to experiment with shims to get clean die cuts but they're generally interchangeable. Wish I could be there to paper craft with you and the little critters. I know you'll have a ton of fun!

I'm borrowing a special machine from a friend on Friday so I can assemble the medium, but everything should be ready to go on Monday.

Worked on the card yesterday. I had to make some changes to my original plan but I'm reasonably happy with what I have so far. Just need to work on the guts of the card. Sounds icky, doesn't it?  Cheesy

JS, looks like we use the same burp cloth pattern. I need to get some made for my granddaughter. I'll be using Star Wars fabric since my SIL is a fan. I made a quillow (quilt in a pillow) for him this Christmas so I'll even get to do some destashing of remnants.

Fluffypants, great choice of background fabric, especially for the whale in the sky. 42

Have to clean adhesive off my iron and ironing board cover before I can do much beyond chosing the fabrics. DD#1 bonded an interfacing to one of her projects without using anything to protect those surfaces. Now she knows why I have parchment paper near my quilting supplies and won't make the same mess again. In the meantime, I've got a mess on my hands!

Yofi, I have a similar story. When my grandmother died, no one wanted her buffet. The paint was scratched off in places and the piece was dirty from constant use. My mother stripped off 4 layers of paint and put a sealant over the tiger oak. Then everyone in the family wanted it! But it's mine and is staying mine until I die.

Lindy, I can't believe how much detail is in the perler piece. He did a terrific job!

Decades ago I learned to do the milk trick to send invisible messages but lemon juice will do the same thing. Just write or draw your message, let dry, apply heat, Presto! message becomes visible.

I attended a workshop a few years ago that Paper Wings Productions presented. We used cheap shaving cream and dye re-inkers to do marbling. Worked great!
50  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Rise of the Cougars Geezer Swap, Round 7 SIGNUPS CLOSED, SENDOUTS 4/1/17 on: January 19, 2017 12:37:43 AM
Have two other swaps to finish up before I can start crafting for this one, but have a plan and most, maybe all, of the supplies I need in my stash. Two months should be ample time to get things done for this. Just needed to keep postage costs in mind while planning the projects, so nothing I'm making will be enormously heavy.
