And you almost lost me at Balsamic vinegar! Cheesy

I've been thinking about making some cream of cauliflower soup. Sure have been seeing some pretty heads of cauliflower and thinking about how yummy they can be. Cheese sauce, Hollandaise sauce, shallots and butter . . .

Yofi, you did a great job of rescueing that rocker! Hope it brings you decades of pleasure!

Bunny, you always do wonderful stencilled items and that shirt is no exception.

Went to a scrapbook convention this past weekend, so I thought I'd share some of the cards I made in classes. These penguin pop up cards are from a Lickety Split class. I adore penguins!

Then these were from a Stephanie Barnard class. She designs for Sizzix (stamps, pop up dies, flip it dies, stand up dies) plus she has her own company, Stamps for Life. She's a great teacher, so take one of her classes if the opportunity ever arises. You won't regret it because you'll learn a lot of tips and techniques for using the interactive dies.

Another class I took was from ClearScraps, a company that features acrylic cards, tags, and decor items. Learning what adhesives and paints to use on acrylic cardstock and how to correct mistakes will keep you from wasting time and materials, plus everything looks so professional when you've finished.

I also took a Heartfelt Creations class but I still have to add the glitter to those cards so I'll post them another time.

I'm part Irish as well. Must be where we get our sense of humor.

The only cards I'm waiting to receive are UTM's and our Canadian friends other than Onyxnox. Sounds like it might be a longer wait than expected to finish this swap. Anticipation is good though, right?

I appreciate every one of my years. I think of the new things I've learned, the new people I've met, the places I've been, and remember that 20 years ago I was fighting for my life. Getting older has been such a blessing. I wish it for each of you!

AIMR, how many times have you kissed the Blarney Stone? Are you part Irish, too? Thanks for the sweet words.

At 65 I told you I was the Ancient One. According to Asian culture, doesn't that mean that I'm suppose to be honored and revered?Huh The fact that I don't have a drop of Asian ancestry is immaterial.

Oh ya, she's ANCIENT! That's why she's such a terrific crafter, so much time to practice Cheesy.

These things are so great. My collection is never boring no matter how many times I look through. I am storing them in card sleeves and am going to add my own card stats in the pockets next to them. If we swapped, met, projects of yours I really love, etc. It'll be like having a visit every time I get out that book Smiley.

I like the idea of adding swap partner, meets, and fav projects next to each card. Think I may appropriate that idea to add to my folder.

As for edelC, if we ignore her typo, I think that makes me the eldest. Maybe that's why I'm so bossy - eldest sister syndrome.  Cheesy

I knew all our Canada Meet Up friends would recognize him and why I included him on my card. Probably should have explained to everyone else why he's on my card.

Very cute! It makes me think of all the flowers and plants on your front porch.

I am really looking forward to your card, it's the one my girl keeps asking "where is it" about, lol.
Kbrison, yours arrived arrived today. She was in the studio with me making fabric collage (so clever, I should post her work sometime) and she said "Oh! I know her!" with such fondness.
And a Craftsterer is borned Wink.

And I have fond memories of her. Such a quick study and so talented, must have something to do with growing up in an artsy/crafty home environment.  Grin Let me know if she gets a Cuttlebug or other die cutting/embossing system. I'm sure I'll find some of my stash that she just HAS to have.

I've been thinking of most of you this weekend. I've been at a scrapbooking conference in Tulsa. I now own my first gelli plate thanks to the encouragement I've received from several of you. We'll see how it goes.

I volunteered as a teacher's assistant this afternoon for Angelica, the paper designer for Heartfelt Creations, and learned several new papercrafted flower techniques. They may show up in the next round of Onyxnox's Xmas tags swap.

Then I helped work the crop this evening. As I was setting up tables in the classroom space that Queen & Co used today, Michael and one of his staff were packing up their class materials. The young woman asked what she should do with two very large containers of micro-glitter (about 5-6 cups in each). Michael said they weren't using it for any more of their class projects, so just throw it away. GASP! Instead, she offered it to me. Naturally I accepted. Look for gold and/or green glitter to appear on the next round of my cards.  Grin

As a volunteer I also received free products of my choice from the Creating Keepsakes booth. Anyone familiar with Faber-Castell Stamper's Big Brush Pens? I now own 4, but have very limited ideas about how to use them. I'd appreciate any insight that you might have.
