Before I show all of you the sweet treats Moonflame created I want you to check out the box she made to hold most of the items. I doubt that many people would notice, but I instantly spotted my favorite quote from Helen Keller: "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." Despite being blind and deaf, she accomplished so much for herself and for other people with handicaps. When I was only 8, my parents and I were told that I would be blind by the time I was 10. That was more than 50 years ago, yet I still see. I've lost some of my hearing, yet I still hear. My life has been blessed by Helen's courage and each day is a daring new adventure for me. So thank you, Moonflame. The box is my favorite gift and touches me in ways that nothing else could.

To show that full size boxes aren't her only skill, Moonflame made these tiny gift-wrapped presents. The largest is only 1 1/4" high.

This bright wreath of Christmas balls is roughly the size of a walnut, perfect for a door.

Santa's workshop now has a spool of ribbon and one of yarn for wrapping gifts. The spools are only 1/4" across. Amazing!

Then Moonflame added to Mrs. Claus's domain by providing a set of plates and two rugs to keep the floors cozy.

And she obviously peeked into Mrs. Claus's cookbook because she sent almost three dozen cookies, a star cookie cutter, some dough ready to be placed on cookie sheets, and a marble rolling pin. The rolling pin had a slight mishap during shipping but it can be easily repaired.

Then I've included a closer shot to let you see just how very tiny the peppermint candies are. They're roughly the size of seed beads - teeny, weeny, tiny!

Thanks again, Moonflame and Suereal! You've been fantastic partners!

Off Topic Side Bar: It requires 36 different fabrics - also insane.  The longest bit is 6" and the widest is about 3.5".  Most are smaller than that.

But not as small as the 144 1" squares for your pixelated blocks!  Cheesy After those, 36 sounds like child's play. I'll be happy to send some scraps. As AIMR noted, then we won't have to sort and restore those scraps.

Quaggy, adding another 1/4" would bring the block to the right size BUT it would screw up the design. When I measured my templates, the 1" test square measured 1" but the actual template for the quarter segment measured 6 1/4" square. From my perspective we have several choices: 1- everyone adds 1/4" to only the outside edges (NOT the interior) or 2- we go with the template as is and all produce 11 1/2" squares, then Sloth can use wider sashing or wider borders to make up the difference or just go with it as is and make a slightly smaller quilt (3" narrower and 4" shorter).

Sloth, which would you prefer or do you have a different suggestion?

I really love all the clay and wood projects. They're craft skills I lack, so I'm especially pleased to be on the receiving end! I received an awesome package today from Moonflame. I don't think I could have had better partners than Suereal and Moonflame. They both nailed my project perfectly. Since it's too dark to take photos tonight, I plan to get that done before I leave tomorrow.

Warning: Get your sweet tooth ready! They've done most of Mrs. Claus's holiday baking and candy-making for her.

We're doing the 10" Garden Fence blocks for Sloth? How did I miss that? Glad I haven't started cutting them yet.

The Borrowers was one of my favorite books when I was a kid and it's probably what started my affection for tiny things. Maybe I need to make Arriety's home next . . . or a hobbit hole. Both would be awesome!

AIMR is NOT crazy! Maybe just a little too frugal and OCD. 'Course I am, too, which may be why we have an appreciation for each other.  Grin

Well, if that's your attitude ... then I'll have to declare you both crazy  Tongue

As my mother would have said, "It takes one to know one." Guess that puts you in the group with us!  Cheesy

Smeddley, love the blood drop dragon!!!!!

Freakiegeekie, I'm a meat and potatoes kind of gal, so your food looks delicious. Are AIMR and I invited to dinner?  Grin

Lindy, the addition of applique to your embroidery opens up new vistas of creativity. Can't wait to see what else you design. Know it will be wonderful!
