Just dropping by to say hello. I've got two of my partners figured out and know what I hope to make....the third, I am drawing a complete blank. I'm going in search of supplies later so maybe inspiration will strike...

Oh my goodness, this is wonderful! My Bachelor's is in Criminology and History, and I wrote my final year dissertation on the suffragette militancy on Mary Raleigh Richardson (she slashed the Velazquez painting known as the Rokeby Venus with a meat cleaver she had hidden in her muff...she was a little bit of a badass). I shall definitely by using my right to vote in this challenge!
By the by, whilst I adore Mary Poppins, the portrayal of suffragism in the movie really gets my goat. Mrs Banks is shown as this silly little airhead who is so wrapped up in her own little world she doesn't even notice the children are missing, the implication being that her suffragism is the cause of her neglectfulness toward her duty as wife and mother. Ok, rant over. I'll take my soapbox and go...

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Dreamcatcher Swap on: July 30, 2014 06:52:50 AM
I'm really hoping my partner returns soon. I took photos before sending out but the SD card in my phone threw a fit and deleted everything (including my photo journal I'd been putting together of my home renovations  Cry ) before I could upload them to the cloud so I have no pics to share...

I received such an awesome parcel from Adrienne_Bowers this week. I've been so up and down recently, starting a new job and renovating our antique home before moving in the next few weeks, this was just the pick-me-up I needed!
I love how it's got a really organic, bohemian feel. And the colours are PERFECT!

I LOVE this spoon ring! I'm wearing it at work today and it fits my chubby fingers perfectly!

I might also be wearing these adorable dreamcatcher earrings... I think I'm right to say they're made from vintage silver pieces.

This is going on my keys as soon as I have both keys and keyring in the same place at the same time...

And she bought me these adorable owl earrings! I'm so spoilt! I love owls as a symbol of wisdom and the goddess Athena, and have quite a few little owl pieces. These are so sweet!

Thank you SO much! I love everything!

Oh I am so in. I actually just made a dreamcatcher for the 10 minute swap and it was so much fun. I'm now making another for myself and one for a friend. I'm at work right now but will fill out my questionnaire tonight!
