1  Re: Monster Swap 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by KokoJay on: September 09, 2011 08:42:12 AM
So at least here are the photos of my big ticket item, the Monster Nesting Dolls from around the world.

Yeti from the Himalayan, Medusa from Greece, the Manticore from ancient Persia, the Kappa from Japan, La Chupacabra from Mexico and central America, and The Peanut Homunculus, or Mr. Peanut from America.

Close up of the Manticore, sorry for the glare and the sideways orientation.

La Chupacabra

Mr. Peanut

The Whole Family again.

Again, my 8 ATC's are gone forever...the small snapping bag is gone forever...no photographic evidence. Hope the post office is happy.

Just a funny thought I had about political history in America.

I received my package the other day whey I got back into town. This is all the wonderful stuff I found inside!

Next, a nifty werewolf tissue box cover. I'm going to use it in the classroom and telling the students that if the werewolf stops puking kleenex, they have to tell me.

Next is a human finger...

Just kidding, it's a pen that looks like a human finger. Another great classroom tool that will be easy to get back from the students.

Next, some close ups of a great banner featuring old movie monsters. These things are great! Each is a pen drawing with a splash of water color for some great attitude and personality.

These were AWESOME!!! I'm so happy with what I got. I finished up one of my smalls today and will be working on some other stuff this weekend so jmiller, you'll have your package in the post soon.

Thanks!!!

5  Valentine"s Day Card in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by KokoJay on: July 06, 2011 02:14:55 PM
This was one of the first Valentine's Day cards I drew a couple years ago. It was later turned into a needlework decoration for a tee shirt by my lovely girlfriend, HaylBale.

Her awesome shirt is seen here.

6  Robot Dinosaur in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by KokoJay on: July 06, 2011 02:09:41 PM
What could be cooler? Not much. This is a drawing that was for someone as a commission, he never paid me for it so now it's mine. And I love it.

7  Girlfriend's Future Nephew's Birthday Gift in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by KokoJay on: June 18, 2011 03:28:38 PM
This is a painting I did for my girlfriend's brother and his wife to help decorate their baby's room. The room is going to be space themed, but apparently the crib is going to be bears. I thought I could effectively span the two subjects.

It is acrylic paint on canvas board. I used salt on the background with a very thin wash to get the cloudy effect and I used a touch of gloss finish on the bear-stronaut's helmet and spaceship.
