Thanks @Tanath
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Pocket full of Butterflies Dress ( Link to free pattern and Tutorial) on: August 02, 2013 01:37:27 PM

I made this dress on my daughter's demand. It has freezer paper stenciled butterflies and a big pocket. The armholes and neck are bound with
a contrasting knit fabric. It is just so easy to make and the stenciling technique was so much fun to try. If you haven't done freezer paper stenciling ever you should really try it. Another thing that I'm thinking of trying out is to use the wrapper of copy paper instead of freezer paper...I have heard that it will work well, but if any of you have tried it, I would love to hear how it worked out for you.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Christmas Present: The Dress She Designed Herself on: February 13, 2013 12:40:31 PM
This is so cool! As a kid, I would have loved someone to sew my designs for me. Your niece is so lucky to have you.
Best,
Anshu
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / V-Day Dress on: February 13, 2013 09:36:23 AM

Made this with two coordinating knit fabrics and heart printed tulle. Its not perfect but I still like the way it turned out.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Knit and Woven Raglan Tshirts on: November 21, 2012 05:15:55 AM
I experimented with combining knit and woven fabrics to make these Raglan Tshirts. The woven fabric is City Streets
by Jamie Wood for Clothworks. I loved it to sew things for boys but I needed some stretch to make Tshirts, so I added
some knit fabric to make the sleeves and neckbands. I think they work much better now.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Sweater to top refashion on: November 15, 2012 01:36:52 PM

Here is a sweater to top refashion I did recently. I don't have any before pictures but just imagine a really big (XXL) size sweater with half sleeves.
I cut out a bit on the shoulders and took in a lot from the sides ( wrong sides together). Finished the edges with ruffled lace.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral Fleece Scarf DIY on: November 15, 2012 01:34:14 PM

I made this scarf based on something similar available in an etsy shop. For this I cut out fleece circles of different sizes and
sew them together to make flowers throughout the length of scarf. I think it turned out rather cute

I have also written a mini tut here: http://www.bloomsnbugs.blogspot.com/2012/11/fall-wardrobe-revamp-floral-fleece.html

9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Tiered Knit Dress on: November 07, 2012 06:27:30 AM
Here is a tiered knit dress that I made recently. I like that it uses up a lot of knit scraps and looks like something complicated to make but is actually pretty easy
once you know how to do lettuce edge hems.
My daughter loves it and wants to wear it everyday.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Jungle Reversible Dress on: November 03, 2012 07:35:24 AM

Here is a fresh take on the classic peasant dress pattern. I made it full sleeved with shirring at the sleeves. It looks really cute on my daughter.
