1  Pocket full of Butterflies Dress ( Link to free pattern and Tutorial) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: August 02, 2013 01:37:27 PM

I made this dress on my daughter's demand. It has freezer paper stenciled butterflies and a big pocket. The armholes and neck are bound with
a contrasting knit fabric. It is just so easy to make and the stenciling technique was so much fun to try. If you haven't done freezer paper stenciling ever you should really try it. Another thing that I'm thinking of trying out is to use the wrapper of copy paper instead of freezer paper...I have heard that it will work well, but if any of you have tried it, I would love to hear how it worked out for you.
Here is the tutorial and pattern:

3  Knit and Woven Raglan Tshirts in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: November 21, 2012 05:15:55 AM
I experimented with combining knit and woven fabrics to make these Raglan Tshirts. The woven fabric is City Streets
by Jamie Wood for Clothworks. I loved it to sew things for boys but I needed some stretch to make Tshirts, so I added
some knit fabric to make the sleeves and neckbands. I think they work much better now.

4  Sweater to top refashion in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by camomma on: November 15, 2012 01:36:52 PM

Here is a sweater to top refashion I did recently. I don't have any before pictures but just imagine a really big (XXL) size sweater with half sleeves.
I cut out a bit on the shoulders and took in a lot from the sides ( wrong sides together). Finished the edges with ruffled lace.
Here is the pointer to the tutorial: http://bloomsnbugs.blogspot.com/2012/11/fall-wardrobe-revamp-too-big-sweater-to.html

5  Floral Fleece Scarf DIY in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by camomma on: November 15, 2012 01:34:14 PM

I made this scarf based on something similar available in an etsy shop. For this I cut out fleece circles of different sizes and
sew them together to make flowers throughout the length of scarf. I think it turned out rather cute

I have also written a mini tut here: http://www.bloomsnbugs.blogspot.com/2012/11/fall-wardrobe-revamp-floral-fleece.html

7  Tiered Knit Dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: November 07, 2012 06:27:30 AM
Here is a tiered knit dress that I made recently. I like that it uses up a lot of knit scraps and looks like something complicated to make but is actually pretty easy
once you know how to do lettuce edge hems.
My daughter loves it and wants to wear it everyday.

8  Jungle Reversible Dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: November 03, 2012 07:35:24 AM

Here is a fresh take on the classic peasant dress pattern. I made it full sleeved with shirring at the sleeves. It looks really cute on my daughter.

9  Ladybug costume and christmas dress in one ( link to tutorial) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: October 25, 2012 10:23:56 AM

Its a ladybug costume made of tulle and ruffle fabric. This tulle is tied on a quarter inch elastic and then sewn onto the ruffle fabric to preserve the elasticity.I think it turned out pretty.
What I like most about this dress is that if you switch the accessories to white,
it will totally work for Christmas

10  Mermaid Costume DIY ( link to tutorial) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by camomma on: October 25, 2012 09:50:58 AM

This costume is made of Tulle and crochet elastic band. It was pretty easy to make in tutu style but I like the crochet band better than just elastic.
