411  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Lovely leafy spring bag on: April 05, 2005 09:47:38 PM
Wow, that is gorgeous!  I love the shape and size, and the fabrics look fabulous together.

Now that's just too adorable.

Leila

Thanks!  I think that if you put a cupcake on anything, it automatically becomes adorable.

Here's another clutch that I made, this time without a handle.  I thought that I was going to sell it, but then I put all my makeup in it to check for size/capacity, and I may not be able to let it go!  I love cupcakes!

You can't tell in the photograph, but the blue cupcake paper is sparkled with glitter in the felt, and the sprinkles are irridescent sequins.

Those are all so great!  I love the fact that they're reversible, and I think those button bows are too adorable.
415  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / lime wrist clutch on: April 03, 2005 07:45:27 PM
I've been obsessed with fruits and vegetables lately (maybe it's spring), so when I saw some lime-printed fabric folded up in the scrap bin at my favorite fabric store, I couldn't help myself.  This is what I put together this evening.

The great thing is that the lime fabric only cost me $1.10, and there was enough to make three clutches this size!
416  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / completed Pippi Kneestockings on: April 02, 2005 12:49:59 AM
I made my first sock ever, and I just couldn't wait until finishing the second one before posting.

It went much more quickly than I expected.  The only snag was the in the directions for transitioning from the heel back to the foot, where the directions seemed totally confusing.  Even the lady who runs my LYS thought it was worded strangely, but ultimately I got it worked out.  It's not perfect, but it still makes me perfectly happy.

That's fabulous!  Rilo Kiley and Jenny Lewis make me swoon.

That looks great!  Did you paint the plane bit on the outside?
419  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: FOs - socks, shrug, spiderweb sweater on: March 28, 2005 04:52:29 PM
That shrug looks great!  That color is nice too - combined with the stitch, it all looks v. delicate.

That looks so great!  Very one-of-a-kind.
