21  lime wrist clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sissychrissy1 on: April 03, 2005 07:45:27 PM
I've been obsessed with fruits and vegetables lately (maybe it's spring), so when I saw some lime-printed fabric folded up in the scrap bin at my favorite fabric store, I couldn't help myself.  This is what I put together this evening.

The great thing is that the lime fabric only cost me $1.10, and there was enough to make three clutches this size!

22  completed Pippi Kneestockings in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by sissychrissy1 on: April 02, 2005 12:49:59 AM
I made my first sock ever, and I just couldn't wait until finishing the second one before posting.

It went much more quickly than I expected.  The only snag was the in the directions for transitioning from the heel back to the foot, where the directions seemed totally confusing.  Even the lady who runs my LYS thought it was worded strangely, but ultimately I got it worked out.  It's not perfect, but it still makes me perfectly happy.

23  my first lined tote bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sissychrissy1 on: March 19, 2005 10:09:02 PM
Although I got my sewing machine a year ago, I've only recently gotten down to the business of using it.  I'd made a couple of flimsy bags with iron-on transfers and such, but now I'm beginning to get into the process.  This is my first "real" bag . . .

The lining is from a pair of pajama pants that I bought on clearance for $2 (I used the drawstring for the tie closure); the black fabric and the tiny rainbow, I had lying around from other crafts; and I just picked up the rainbow webbing to use for handles at my local fabric store.
