1  Maxi Dress Link to Tutorial and Pattern in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by JamieS on: April 29, 2013 08:58:41 AM
I just finished this sweet maxi dress for my little girl!

I uploaded the pattern for the bodice in the tutorial on my blog here:  http://www.scatteredthoughtsofacraftymom.com/2013/04/Free-Childs-Maxi-Dress-Sewing-Pattern-and-Tutorial.html.  You will still have to measure your little one to get the length that works best for you.

8  Lemonade Stand in Completed Projects by JamieS on: June 19, 2012 09:56:28 AM
My kids had a lemonade stand this past weekend.  It was so cute!

I made the tablecloth from Ikea sheets.

The pennant banner was made from scraps from a previous quilt project.

I used printables found on the internet plus a few more I made myself in photoshop.  (I have links to the downloadable versions in my blog post.

Everything else was put together with stuff from around the house.

I blogged about it here: http://www.scatteredthoughtsofacraftymom.com/2012/06/lemonade-stand.html

10  Draped-Shawl Cardigan Tutorial Link in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by JamieS on: February 03, 2012 07:59:07 AM
Hi everyone!  I just finished making this Draped Shawl Cardigan.  I love how it turned out, though getting to the final result did not happen how I planned.

I didn't intend for this post to be a tutorial.  I had planned on sewing up a little cardigan and just showing it off.  Ha ha ha... That didn't quite work out.

I started this cardigan using McCall's pattern 5241.

What a waste of time and fabric this pattern turned out to be. The design of this pattern is awful!  (Next time I will read the reviews before sewing a new pattern for myself.)  The construction consisted of a rectangle of fabric with holes cut near the top and sleeves attached.  It was terrible.  It was more of a wrap, not a cardigan.  No real neck area and the fit where the sleeves attached was so weird and awkward it would not stay on my shoulders.

Do not buy this pattern!  You can make your own using a shirt/cardigan you already own.  I wrote up an easy to follow (I hope) tutorial and have it posted on my blog here: http://scatteredthoughtsofasahm.blogspot.com/2012/02/draped-shawl-cardigan-pattern-review.html
