i want to hear about those brownies if someone makes them!!!

i met a mom of a celiac kid last week when i was vacationing in northern michigan who swears by Bi-Aglut pasta which is from Italy but she can buy it in Ann Arbor. She says it's better than Tinkyada which I personally like a lot.  anyone else tried this stuff?

she also told me that Whole Foods has come out with their own line of GF bakery items that are fabulous. she said that they are being tested in some stores (but not here in Denver I've found).

our local Great Harvest Bread Co (which I believe is a chain) just came out w/ GF bread that's supposed to be fabulous but I have yet to get in there when they've had it.

33  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: WWFD: What Would Freud Do?? shadowbox -- controversy!! woo hoo!! on: July 14, 2005 08:37:49 PM
hey everyone, thanks for the compliments!!

as for the controversy, it came from two directions. first of all some RN freaked because i put real Prozac on the piece. she was worried people were going to steal the prozac.  they moved the piece behind glass after she complained.

the second thing was that the videographer for the show made some comment on ripping off WWJD and how he found that offensive.

no one seemed to care that i was poking fun (but making serious points!) at Freud. my colleagues loved it!

i think it would make a fun t-shirt!!  great idea!!

I made this a bit ago for a company wide art show. I thought I'd show it off here because I really enjoy it (as do many of my patients - -I work in mental health)! It created quite a controvery at the art show. Let me know what you think....

yes, those are real (but very old) Prozac around the edge!

all around the edges I wrote, "What would Freud do? with Prozac? with brief therapy? with Zoloft? with managed care? with Paxil? with EMDR? with HMOs? with group therapy? with Xanax? Would he be out of business?  And then on the back of the box I wrote, "you bet!!"  Tongue

It got Honorable Mention, BTW.

40  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: what can be done with a cool apron? on: July 07, 2005 03:10:50 PM
i know exactly what you mean! i've seen tons of cute aprons but never buy them b/c i think "one more thing that i buy at the thrifty but have no idea what to do with!"  i'm trying to cut  back on my impulse thrift store buying.  i'm hoping someone will have some great ideas.

i suppose if you had a lot of wall space, you could put them up on the wall in your kitchen (or other room).  i've done that w/ vintage saucers and hand bags.
