42  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / ribbons, scissors, and chucks. on: October 16, 2005 04:28:16 PM
okay. so i tried surfergrl311's idea with the 'chucks vs scissors' deal.
I'm totally in love with mine.
i ended up putting a piece of elastic on the top so they'd stay on better
and i added a little bow on the back.

sorry for the crappy pictures but they'll deal for now, ill prob get some news one tomorrow, or well whenever i think to take some. =)

44  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / cute rainbow bag with pink starry lining. <3 on: October 04, 2005 05:24:15 PM
This is actually my first bag that I used real cloth on.
All my others have been felt clutches, book purses, and a cute felt barrel purse, anyhow.
It took me a while to figure out how exactly how to do it.
I'm still really not sure how to do anything really.
This works though and I've gotten quite a few compliments on it, in just a day. =)

bad close up of the fabric

Thanks for looking.
Comments appreciated. =)

48  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My take on the felt barrel purse...<3 on: July 30, 2005 07:02:01 AM
Okay....what can I say.
I'm addicted to felt. haha.
I'm sure others have went through this, well maybe not but whatever. =P
Okay so I followed some of these directions with a few of my own twists...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44236.0

I love it so much and the polka dot felt, well it's my favorite felt ever. I already have a clutch using it. lol. The lining is turquoise, I'm not sure if you can tell very well from the pictures and with all my junk in my purse. The lining is also felt. =P
Enjoy!

I said this before but I truly believe this is my first really big sewing project. It took forever because I hand sewed the entire thing. It was my first time ever making an actual purse and not a clutch. It was my first time installing a zipper, making the ends round like that (which took me a little while to get the hang of), lining it like this (the only other 'lining' I've done is for a book clutch), my first time adding handles. Okay well a lot of first and probably even more than that. So I'm pretty darn proud of myself. I hope you like it. =)
Comments are always appreciated and thanks for looking.

49  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / a cute clutch for the cutest girl ever! <3 on: July 30, 2005 06:46:21 AM
Okay so there's this little girl at my church.
She is absolutely adorable and the sweetest little thing ever.
I love her so much.
Well I saw this felt and it yelled Brenlee, so of course I got it.
I have two others of my own and after her looking through it one night I decided I'd make her one. =)
These are my other two... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=41702.0
So anyhow here it is.

50  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / a little bit of a different take on the book purse. on: July 30, 2005 06:30:24 AM
okay so i lied, a little. lol.
its pretty much a book purse, my third. haha.
anyhow but as suggested to someone in my other post of book purses
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44768.0
i closed it with a ribbon.
i love this one the best. =)
and as i did the others i used an old readers digest
and again used the cow print material.

Thanks for looking! And comments are greatly appreciated. =)
