The first one looks like it's constructed as a vent, maybe?  You'd insert the ruffled piece sort of like a godet, I'd guess.  The second one looks like the it's cut as a one piece front and a three or four piece back, with the back being a left side, a right side, and the bottom pleated ruffle (either as one or two pieces).  If you look up how to make circular ruffles, and combine that with pleats, you should be able to do the second one easy enough.

Hello everyone this is my first post!

I have been trying to find a pencil / wiggle skirt Long enough for me and decided because i cant find one, to make it myself.
I can make a basic pencil skirt but would love to spice it up a bit. I seen a lovely skirt with a ruffle part instead of a slit at the back. been trying to look for a information/tutorials but have had no luck  Undecided Would Any of you lovely people know how i could do this. any help would be appreciated as the skirt is for my mums 50th party in 2 weeks time. Thank you Buffy
