Scratch that request- I checked out your blog and found the pics Smiley

Whoa! I'm in scarf heaven. This is such an awesome scarf! So pretty! Could you perhaps take a picture of it flat so we could get a better idea of the construction. I would LOVE to make something similar!

Personally I like the color, but if it's something you can't wear (and can't bear to gift) then dying it is always an option. I can't really picture it with fringe, though I suppose it would help you use up some more of that cotton.

It's a lovely scarf- it looks like it has great drape and an interesting pattern. Pretty, pretty!

That's a beautiful verse. I'd love to look at that first thing every morning before I got dressed to start my day!

Wow! Great job, I'm sure your customer will be thrilled. He is incredibly close to the sketch.... unbelievably even!

And I love his fangs. Too cute!

Thanks for the input ladies! I decided to go brown for the boy and green for the girl.
Thanks also for the Egyptian baby trivia- I'll be the hit of the baby shower for sure  Grin

I forgot to link the free pattern that I used: http://danettesangels.tripod.com/candy_corn_hat.html. I followed it pretty much the same as it was written. I just changed the colors and left off the last round of ruffles.

Wow that's huge! Looks very snuggly. What size hook did you use?
I too have never ever had the patience to finish a whole blanket (except baby-blankets).

I'm not a big fan of the whole pink is for girls and blue is for boys baby nonsense. I am however a big big fan of mint-chocolate! I made these 2 pairs of mint-chocolate and chocolate-mint booties for the 2 baby showers I'm going to today. They only took a couple hours per pair (most of which was the weaving in of ends which I am really not good at).

They are being gifted in a few hours. Anybody have any suggestions as to which should be for the boy and which for the girl?

You can't really tell, but I used the same yarn for both just in opposition. Sorry about the crappy pics... webcam.

Sexy momma! That's the hottest crochet thing I've ever seen! But in the way that I'd totally wear it! I second (or third or fourth) the motion for a pattern if you've got it! Those are beautiful!

(BTW, I think I've totally exhausted my exclaimation point quota of the day... phew... too much excitement)

Oh that's super cute!

One of my colleagues is shaving her head to raise money for cancer next month and I was thinking of making her something similar- is that from a pattern or freestyle?

I too LOVE the felt. It really makes it a statement piece. Very stylish.
