61  Quick and Dirty Shrug in Knitting: Completed Projects by Nymeria on: October 15, 2006 06:42:52 PM
I made this in like 5 hours from a pattern on Lionbrand's website (http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/50902A.html?noImages=). It calls for Moonlight Mohair but I used Jiffy in "Camel", on the size 50 "Quick Sticks".  (Excuse the bra-- the flash makes it look a little bright Shocked)

62  Re: A quick winter accessory knitalong? :D in Knitalongs by Nymeria on: October 06, 2006 12:25:38 PM
Here is the right one in Caron Simply Soft "Almond" :

You can see I kinda jacked up one of the cables (watching "Without a Trace" while knitting often leads to slight mess-ups, lol)

Sooooooo warm and soft! You can kinda see that my seam looks like Dansk's. I think she is right about the pattern decrease.

Now to start the left one!

63  Re: Geek Pride T-Shirt Swap!! in The Swap Gallery by Nymeria on: September 11, 2006 09:10:13 AM
I got my shirts from Star69! I love them soooo much! She did such a great job on them -- thank you so much! Cheesy

Group Shot:

I told her that I am a druid in World of Warcraft (we DO do it better, dammit!!!), and that I love the George RR Martin books (House Greyjoy is one of the major players in the books). The details on the kraken is outstanding! I bow down to your stencil/paint skills!  Shocked

Back Shot:

Back of the Greyjoy shirt. This made me laugh so hard, I wore it immediately! ... excuse Sprite in all the pictures -- it's almost obligatory to have a cat in every swap picture, isn't it?  Grin

Thank you so much Star69, you were such a fun partner! I hope you enjoy your shirts as much as I enjoyed mine! Cheesy

*does the happy Snoopy dance*

64  Re: Let's see your sewing machine!! in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by Nymeria on: September 06, 2006 07:50:38 AM
My baby: aka LA Blue Girl. (YES it is from the uh... "anime" and yes it's a very long story why I call my machine that >_>) I love her to death and like many other posters I am often saying "C'mon baby, you can do it!"  Grin

65  Re: Fill A Purse Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by Nymeria on: August 22, 2006 06:18:56 AM
Oh. My. God. I received from EvilDeadGirl yesterday evening and all I can say is that I am the luckiest swapper ever! I was in a horrible mood yesterday (I wore a pair of really cute boots to school, but they weren't broken in and I ended up having to trek 2 miles in them-- sore feet!), and I came home to see this great box! It made my day! Cheesy Image Heavy!

First off, she was thoughtful and sent a toy for my cat! A box can entertain her for days...

I am so spoiled -- she did such a fabulous job. There are two purses (she said she wasn't happy with one, but they are both so pretty!), a handmade kleenex holder (in my backpack already!), a handmade sewing kit (soooo neat!), some playing cards, lots of sweettarts (how I love those!), a Cookie Monster notepad, some magnets from Firefly and Warcraft, some gorgeous blue asian fabric, stickers, and a photo album! So many wonderful things!

I love them both so much and everything else in the box! Thank you SO much Evildeadgirl! You are an excellent swapper and I sincerely hope you enjoyed your box as much as I did! Cheesy

66  Cloth recommendation! so indecisive! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Nymeria on: July 20, 2006 09:35:41 AM
I am so damn indecisive when it comes to this stuff! I want to make a dress for a friend's wedding. I found this pattern:

I think I'm going to do either the middle left or the bottom right style, but I'm not sure which fabric to use! I've narrowed it down to four and would appreciate any and all feedback:

68  Re: First purse, kinda picture heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Nymeria on: July 08, 2006 10:10:37 PM
Yet another purse I made, I might be addicted. There are a couple glaring errors in this one (as is obvious in the pics), but I like how it came out. The mistakes just kinda add to the slouchy, bohemian style, right? >_>

69  For all you WoW Players, I present Cookie! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Nymeria on: April 24, 2006 07:45:53 AM
I got really bored this weekend and decided I needed a new apron. So I got myself a screenshot of a murloc and, ta-da!

I have the world's crappiest digital camera so you can barely see him, but below him it says "Kiss the Cook!". I just used one of those cheap aprons you get a at Joann's to see if it worked. I might make myself a decent apron and iron-on again. ^^

70  Re: Firefly Swap Round 2 in The Swap Gallery by Nymeria on: April 19, 2006 11:16:42 AM
I got my box today from Tsubomi_Chan! I love everything! She sent me: a Wash dinosaur journal, dinosaur soaps in the cutest turtle pouch (Loving the fabric!), a Blue Sun canvas tote bag, an incense burner and Night Mother incense that Inara would approve of, a Serenity tin, a Zoe inspired necklace (which I'm wearin' now!), a Serenity bookmark and a couple origami cranes which I think she made from cloth -- I'm not sure how but I love them! I apologize for the crummy pictures, my digital camera is junk. I'll try to get better pics this weekend! Xie xie ni, Tsubomi_Chan! ^^

Close up of the soaps

Group shot! You can just barely see the Blue Sun logo... curse the sudden yet inevitable suckiness of my camera >.<

Close-up of the journal, necklace and origami cranes. I have got to find out how you did those!
