I started making this hat for the Scott Pilgrim swap, and my son saw it and talked me into making it for him instead.  I finished it up and told him it was an early birthday present.   Now my other two kids want one too!

I received!!  I love it!!  Rosered sent me a dark grey wool felted bag with a dire wolf patch on it, and a memory wire bracelet with grey and white fresh water pearls.  Oh, and the zipper pull on the bag has the same pearls!

In addition, she enclosed a handwritten note and she sent my daughter a post card for a class project!  Thank you so much!

I have finished gifts!!

First is a "cow" pillow for my stepfather (it's a long story, but trust me, he'll like it).

Next is a T-shirt for my son, who's turning 14.

And here's a close up of the picture:

I finished four snake scarves!  Also, partway through two more, and one more that's ready for eyes/tongue.  These are all for friend's children and when I 'm done I think it will be a while before I make any more - lol

Cellabella is having camera issues, so I'm posting a pic of the items she received:

I got home the day after my birthday, and Cellabella's package was waiting for me - it was great timing!  Inside were two display jars with miniatures of Chuck's dresses (which I love), a delicate tea cup with a plush pie top, and a cute little patch with daisy buttons!

Thanks, Cellabella!

Here's the whole lot:

This is a close up of the sweet little dresses:

This is my cat checking out the pie cup:

Melerific, Infinitelyjen, & Teamama thanks for your feedback on my idea for Grandpa - I'm encouraged enough to do it with one small change:  I'm going to make it for Christmas and send some to that side of the family along with the recipe.

Teamama congrats on the table, it looks great!  whats a cocktail muddler?

Jo_mama Love your idea about using pintrest to keep track of project ideas!   BTW - dream catcher instructions available at www.instructables.c om

I am also willing to do personal swaps for this group, just PM me.  I can make knitted snake scarves, which are a big hit with kids (they're the hardest to craft for, I think).  Here's what they look like:

19  Reconstructed T-Shirt Fail in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by idioskosmos on: June 15, 2011 02:35:33 PM
I found this tutorial on transforming a T-Shirt into a one-shouldered ruffle top:  http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2009/08/one-shouldered-ruffle-top.html  and decided to try it with an old stretched out T-Shirt.

It didn't work out quite right.  It looked fine until I put it on - the neck was huge and baggy.  I'm not going to bother trying to fix it, but I may try this again with a better fitting T-Shirt.

20  Diagonal Knit Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by idioskosmos on: June 15, 2011 02:25:35 PM
This pattern is called the "Sweeny Todd" scarf on Ravelry:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sweeney-todd-scarf

I made a bunch of these (with a little help from my friend) and will definately make more.  It was great for learning how to increase/decrease stitches, and I think they're really interesting to look at.  The Ravelry pictures are much better than the one I took.
