1  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenges / Re: Craft Challenge #20 - Reusable Shopping Bag Challenge - Due Aug 1 - Aug 5 2007 on: July 08, 2007 12:19:55 AM
Yay! I've never participated in a challenge or swap before, but I just finished making a stencil for this! I've been putting off sewing the bags because I've been debating a couple of features.  I can't wait to look at the other bags and tutorials for ideas!
2  Arizona / Arizona: South / Re: tucson? on: June 14, 2007 03:22:49 AM
Hi! I'm a Tucsonan too! I went to Flowing Wells Jr. High, and High Philip, but I graduated way back in '93. I also go to SAS and JoAnn's and thrift stores. I also used to find lots of cheap fabric at the swap meet, but haven't seen any lately.  If you're all looking for a larger place to get together, the downtown library has all sizes of meeting rooms. My old job used to have a huge Christmas party there every year. I don't think there is a charge, but I'll look into it if you like. I'd like to get together too, but I don't knit. I did as a kid but can't seem to pick it up again. I do just about every other craft though.

I have also had this problem. I recently saw a sewing program (can't remember which one) that said to use a smaller needle in your regular sewing machine. Haven't tried it though.

Nice job! I wish my crafting abilities were that advanced when I was 14!

This is amazingly beautiful!
6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Need Help making this costume on: October 08, 2005 02:01:13 AM
I would do the skirt like the children's version using different sized hula hoops and regular fabric to make the tiers, and you definately need a hat.  Maybe one kind of like a top hat to look like the top tier of the cake would look better than a cone hat.
7  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Halloween invitations.... on: October 08, 2005 01:17:18 AM
Another creepy invitation would be a death certificate, maybe too creepy though, can you imagine getting a death certificate with your name on it in the mail?
8  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Pumpkin TV set! on: October 08, 2005 01:06:02 AM
I love it!  I'm obsessed with Halloween since it's my birthday, but I have a son with a form of Autism who hates anything scary.  This is perfect!  I'm going to put one of his cartoons on it.  Thanks!  By the way, I'm in Tucson, and I love craftychica.com!

You also might want to contact the Small Business Administration.  I'd look it up on the internet.  I know here in Arizona, if you call and request it, they'll send you a big packet of info. on licensing, business plans, financing, demographics, etc...
