1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / ToSouk - sell handmade items. No listing or sales fee on: September 24, 2011 02:27:13 PM
Has anyone else ever heard of ToSouk?

Only found out about it today but if it got popular the whole free listing, free sale stuff is a really good deal!

Thanks Kholt. I love Sugar skulls too, the whole day of the dead concept fascinates me, I think it's a really beautiful way of dealing with the grief and mourning. It is Alexander Henry fabric if you were interested in getting any for her and they have it in a range of colours and designs.
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Getting your name out there on: July 15, 2011 08:45:14 AM
Hello,

I'm really new to this, have been trying to sell my stuff for less than a month but wanted to let you know about a site I've found which has really helped to bring attention to my blog.

I submitted a tutorial to CraftGossip - http://sewing.craftgossip.com/ It got posted on their site and my blog view have rocketed.

Yesterday I had 120 views and now I have 671.

I don't know if this will mean I actually sell something or not but it certainly seems to have gotten my name out there a bit. Worth considering if you're loooking to promote your business.

If anyone has any other tips they would be very much appreciated!! : )

They should really have some kind of support group for it 'Fabric addicts anonymous'. We could all stand up, list what we have in our stash and show our stunning handmade but completely empty wallets Cheesy

Here's my newest bag using up the last of my Alexander Henry Sugarskull fabric. I love this print so will have to buy some more when I have the funds assuming I don't spend all my money on the many other fabrics I've got on my wish list. I really need to win the lottery to support my habit!!  Cheesy

Thank you!

It is lined, I used a cotton drill fabric so it's quite thick, the size is 45 cm wide and 34 cm Height.

It's printed cotton and the little white bits are highlights. My photo's suck, my dining room where I do my sewing was boiling today so by the time I finished making the bag I was in a bit of a rush to just snap the pic so I could sit in the garden and get some air Roll Eyes
