1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Pain in the neck...a baby blanket on: August 27, 2011 01:03:20 PM
Fist let me say that I have been lurking for awhile but not crafting.  I really have been having a hard time getting crafty motivated.  Yesterday, though, my dear friend started having contractions and it pushed (no pun intended) me into gear.  This was made to coordinate with baby boy's Giraffe themed room.  It is the first time I have ever made my own binding, I am not sure I will be doing that again any time soon without some help.

The printed material used for the center of the blocks I got on the clearance rack for $1.00 a yard. The back is flannel.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I was feeling Friskies on: June 26, 2011 06:29:53 AM
Picked up a large bag of this food for my cats but decided to keep the bag because I loved the picture.  After a year in my closet I have finally gotten around to getting it reconstructed.  For this project I really just free handed the whole thing.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / For my Daughter on: May 24, 2011 10:26:20 AM
I used an old pair of ACU's and whipped this up for my 8 year old.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / $3 investment at Goodwill on: May 22, 2011 01:03:31 PM
I saw this at Goodwill only a couple days after we decided to redo my oldest daughters room in an Japanese inspired theme.  I had already gotten the fabric to make her a memo board.  At any rate, I was geeked when the price was $3 and snatched up up rather quickly.  It took me only about 30min to get to the finished product and I have to say, it really is a great focal point in her room.
