1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / help with my crochet project please on: May 07, 2006 12:41:03 PM
I had an urge to crochet a blanket for my new baby (bear in mind this is my 1st project done in the round)

(the instructions are in UK crochet not US)

here is the pattern:

and here is where I'm up to so far:

I think the first 2 rounds are right but I think I've gone wrong on round 3 - I'm really confused, I can't work out what it is wanting me to do - please can you help sort me out?  Huh

thanks  Grin

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Easy peasy baby projects needed for crochet newbie? on: March 30, 2006 08:09:04 AM
Can anyone recommend me some good easy patterns - either free online or books - with baby projects suitable for a newbie crocheter please?  Grin

I have a new baby due in 3 months and I'd love to make a few things before the arrival. It's a surprise but I would like to make both a boy and a girl summer outfit (or hat and cardigan/sweater and bootees) plus a couple of pram blankets. Do you think that's do-able in 3 months for a newbie? LOL  I already have 4 kids so don't have tons of free time

Would especially be interested in an easy bootee pattern that is likely to stay on

thanks in advance  Grin
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / how do you make your own labels etc? and packaging ideas? on: September 06, 2005 03:51:29 AM
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=37550.0 had me drooling - I would love to make something so professional looking for my Xmas pressies

what is the best software for making your own labels etc?  how easy is it to do?

I've seen some printable "envelopes" for bath milk on the net but would like to make some to blend in with a theme - how easy are they to design yourself?

also where can I get some of those cool little plastic tubs (like the scrub is in)?

sorry if these questions are really dumb  Embarrassed

I have seen a fab shawl pattern which uses a size 16mm hook.  Can't find anywhere in the UK to buy one?  Where's the cheapest place to buy one from which ships to the UK?

thanks  Grin
