1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Spider bookthong on: May 25, 2012 02:18:31 AM
I post so rarely because I only finish small simple things and I often think the are not worth posting.

This is another really small project and somehow this project still was full of failures.

Making the spider was easy, but I originally wanted to make a spider-web-style necklace for it. It was a disaster. Then I thought I bracelet would be easier, but I couldn't figure it out either and it ended as a simple bookthong.

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Altered match-box : Pink Mini-Amigurumi bunny and its home on: January 26, 2012 05:49:34 AM
I really didn't know in which category I should put this little project, so I simply chose misc.

I haven't crocheted for months even though I wanted to do more mini Amigurumi and I also wanted to do more altered match-boxes AND I love looking at the wee House craftalong thread... so I just combined  all three!

The bunny is made out of normal sewing thread and the red furniture is simple paper covered in acrylic paint. All stuff I had already at home since I hate spending money  Wink

Thanks for looking and sorry, the picture quality could be better!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / 15 Videogame ATCs from Space Invaders to Final Fantasy (quite image heavy) on: December 11, 2011 06:00:57 AM
Hi everyone Smiley
I thought I could share a few videogame ATCs I made the last few months.

We got an Nintendo Entertainment System when I was still very little and was so fascinated by it. And even before I loved watching my father play games on our PC ( you know... with floppy disks and all). I'm really not up to date with all the new consoles and games, but videogames always were a part of my life and playing a nice game is like reading a good book for me Smiley

Anyways...here are the ATCs. Most of them are drawn since I'm not good with collages.

Space Invaders! cut out on black cardboard. With a little moveable space ship ^^

These were for a swap. Videogames starting with the letter "B". I chose the classic Berserk and a Snes RPG called Breath of Fire 2. The Berserk one is a paper cutting glued on gold paper. The other is water colors.

These were for another swap. Videogames starting with the letter "A". Alundra and Assasins Creed. Again water colors.

Another swap were I chose Kingdom Hearts because my partner seemed to like it. Water colors and colored pencils for the characters. Then cut out and glued on the backgrounds.

Again for a swap. These are two characters from Final Fantasy 8 called Rai-Jin and Fu-Jin. Water colors on gold on silver paper.

Yet another swap :p Everybody loves Mario right. The Marios were done in water colors cut out and glued on the backgrounds.

Chocobos from the Final Fantasy series.

These I did just for fun. Two characters from a Snes RPG called Romancing Saga (sadly never come out in Europe or America). Again simple water colors.

Another one I did just for fun. Terra from Final Fantasy 6. Water colors. I tried to emulate Yoshitaka Amanos style.

I know there are nothing special and in most I see glaring mistakes, but maybe somebody might enjoy them ^^;
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Button-fairy with movable wings on: November 20, 2011 04:32:04 AM
I haven't posted in a while because I'm so lazy at crafting...and when I finish something I'm often so dissatisfied that I don't want to show it *laughs*

I made this button-fairy a few months ago and it was my first one ever. I actually like how she turned out, this does not happen often ^^;

I hope she watches safely over her new owner  Grin
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The Goonies cross stitch on: October 05, 2011 07:06:58 AM
Compared to the other stuff here this is really boring, but it doesn't hurt to post it anyway (does it?).

My mom does a lot of cross-stitching, but I'm a complete noob. Some month ago she gave me this orange towel because she couldn't use it for anything. It's a bit of a strange color but I immediately thought of the title screen from the Goonies Nintendo game.

It was a good practice because it's only one color and the pattern wasn't that hard to do.

I know it's really simple (and I should have ironed it ^^; ) but maybe there are other fans of the movie who like it.

I uploaded the pattern on my blog. Feel free to use or modify it Smiley
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Owl-cat amulet bag on: June 21, 2011 02:53:37 AM
I did this one for a personal swap. It took way longer than i thought it would because I sewed it per hand, lined it and had to stupid idea to crochet the cord which alone took some days.

I crocheted button holes in the cord and put little buttons that I cheaply made out of paper, glue and paint on the side of the bag. That way the length of the cord is adjustable. The peak is a simple paper pearl made of an old newspaper.

Inside I put a little amulet, an owl-cat inchie, a tiny book and an owl figure that I had bought in Japan as souvenir.

I was so glad my partner liked it and got an awesome bunny themed bag in return! (I posted some pictures of it on my blog)

Thanks for looking Smiley
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My first ATCs and Inchies on: June 12, 2011 05:56:33 AM
I just finished these 3 ATCs yesterday and thought that I might aswell share them here together with my first Inchies even though they are quite different in style.  Smiley

Well..women with crazy hair. Painted them, cut them out and put them on shiney paper. There is actually some gold and silver glitter color on them but youc an barely see it in the photo.
There are a few more photos in my blog where you can see it better.

The ones on the left were my first few ever. Just some random animals. The ones on the left are for someone who is born in the year of the Dragon =)
I colored them with water colors, which I found quite difficult because of the small size...I would have loved to add more details and work more precise but the colors bleeded together so easily.

They were really fun to do. I loose patience so easily and have a hard time working on stuff that takes days or weeks to complete. So they are perfect for me  Grin
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / 4 mini amigurumi on: May 30, 2011 02:43:05 AM
Those are the first few mini amigurumi I did. I love miniature, so I thought I give it a try Smiley

They were really fun to do, but hard on the eyes.

I hope you like them Smiley
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / prettified matchboxes on: May 24, 2011 05:38:30 AM
I saw so many awesome entries in the matchbox swaps I had to give it a try, too.
For the first one I used an japanese newspaper and added the origami cranes. The other one is covered on good old aluminium foil. I put little dots of black acrylic paint on it and just smeared them around with my fingers to make it look more old. The cross was from a cheap necklace and broke apart before I got to wear it. Now I'm gratefull I did not throw it away but kept it for all those years Grin
The inside parts are painted with acrylic paints.

They were really fun to do Smiley
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Bunnies =) on: May 22, 2011 05:47:27 AM
Hello! This is my first picture-post here.
I just wanted to show these 3 bunnies I made as small presents. They were easy and fun to make! I only started crocheting a few months ago so

they were perfect for a beginner like me  Wink

The eyes are a bit crooked, because I used pearls and they tend to shift around.

I know they are very simple but I hope you still like them  Smiley
