1  Re: Random swap round 3 gallery in The Swap Gallery by infinitelyjen on: October 11, 2011 05:37:00 AM
I had to wait two days for the package center at my campus to open back up after the weekend, but I finally got my package! It's filled with so many great things, adrienne_bowers did an awesome job Cheesy

The package:

It's kind of hard to see because of the glare from my overhead light, but there was a looooot of stuff in there.

First off, a bunch of delicious goodies:

Some halloween candy, a chocolate scented candle, and yummy panda cookies with a creamy chocolate center. So I actually usually don't like chocolate, but these were actually really good, because the filling wasn't too rich and there wasn't too much of it. I may have eaten them all last night as I was enjoying the next treat...

A delicious coffee sampler! The different samples are each a different level of coffee intensity, so since I'm not yet (but swiftly becoming) a hardcore coffee drinker, this will help me figure out just what I like. And with three midterms and play rehearsals/showings all this week, I think this is what's going to help me survive.

A really pretty bookmark cross-stitched with my name, and a starter's guide to cross-stitch since I've been wanting to learn:

And to accompany that, this reeeaaally pretty collection of stories. Inside:

Outside:

And finally, probably my favorite part, I got this really pretty scarf:

I'm really excited for the weather to turn cold so I can wear this around! It's so warm and soft, plus it's in my favorite color. This was Adrienne_Bowers' first knitting project, and it's pretty impressive Cheesy

Thank you so much! I love everything ^_^

2  Re: AUGUST Granny-A-Day 08/01-08/31/2011 in Crochetalongs by infinitelyjen on: August 03, 2011 08:27:53 PM
I don't plan on joining this crochetalong because I've been up to my eyeballs in granny squares lately, but I just wanted to post this project for a bit of inspiration:

I'm in the middle of making a Luigi version which should be finished in a couple of days. I've also seen tetris and PacMan granny square blankets, there seem to be a lot of nerdy things you can do with those things Cheesy

3  Pac Man Perpetual Calendar in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by infinitelyjen on: July 29, 2011 09:38:58 AM
So in a recent attempt to stay busy over the summer and make my dorm room a bit nerdier, I made this "Pac Man Perpetual Calendar":

It's basically a bent 12" by 18" piece of sheet metal spray-painted black; the dots that Pac Man eats are little pieces of craft foam glued to magnets, and the characters are made from Sculpey.

Close-up shot:

I used this instructables guide to make it: http://www.instructables.com/id/Pacman-Perpetual-Calendar/?images#images

Sorry if the pictures are a bit blurry; my camera got stolen so I've been using my mom's decade-old hp ^__^'

Hope you like it!

4  Re: yes...another Gir ami...NOW WITH PATTERN in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by infinitelyjen on: July 09, 2011 07:09:13 PM
I altered your pattern to make Gir about twice the original size--he now stands at around 11 inches tall.

I was very happy with the way it turned out--thank you so much for posting this pattern! It's a gift for a friend and I'm sure that he's going to love it.
