i made these bears from a pattern! they have bendy arms and legs. i really want to post some sort of tute soon because i couldnt for the life of me find bear joints online , well, i did, but they didnt reply to my questions coz i couldnt figure out he order forms in comparison to the pattern requirements... anyway, i ended up using electrical wires and buttons.

the bears are made from denim of this awsome guy ben, who passed away... supposedly these bears look like him and are made from his old clothes...

theres a rad fair happening and there are still spaces! its at the Ayden Gallery in Tinseltown! mad rushes of late christmas shoppers!

i cant remember if i already showed off these cutie pouches i made. so anyway here are the cute pouches i made!



then here are the newer ones:
this one has a crochet spotted mushroom! which i made by sewing together two crochet strawberries and adding a bottom brown part (my cousin sends me crochet appliques) yay.


here here is this skull print fabric i got months and months ago but thought it was too bright so like two nights ago i used coffee and dyed it to make it brownish. it turned out so rad! all i did was put some of my bf's expresso in a pot with water and put the fabric in it for a few mins on low boil... then i rinsed it and and soaped it, and it dried and its brown!

yay this one is my newst favorite: kanzashi clutch. basically a pouch with a flap and strap.
its got lampwork beads!!!! i love it.

you can basically make your own shop with wicked categories like an ebay store kinda but its a cleaner layout and is more user friendly, i mean idiot friendly. what i dont get is why are the forums so dead, and where are the other shops?

yay! i made these two yeaterday and finished em off today with the squishy flower things.... i used strawberry buttons for the pink, and bear buttons for the brown! i love them, and i feel so great i finally made a pettern for these handles ive had forever!
ill be bringing these babies to a shop im in.... i was thinking of pricing them at 40$ canadian plus tax- is that a good price?

ok. this is a bit long coz i am so kind of bummed and just wanted to share in case anybody had any suggestions/ similar experiences with washing vintage fabric:

Yesterday I bought a box of 13+ vintage obi for 40$. the minimalist yuppie couple i bought it from had lived in japan for 5 years and were moving/downsizing their stuff. they were awsome and the obi is truly vintage.

i decide to try and wash two. of course i dont choose an 'uglier' one. i go right on and wash two pretty ones that i want to use..the first one came out ok...i used dish soap...i figured it was milder than detergent... a little color bleed. the second one, a beautiful one that has cranes, landscape, gold, trees, leaves really nice one all shades of dark greens...it was so dirty. and i killed it! i wasnt gentle enough. the fabric seemed to have grime in it, the water was all black/brown, there were little bits of dirt i could see forming on the tub (where i washed em).
it ripped and holes appeared in some places... it felt like the fabric was melting! little bits of gold dust were on my fingers. i didnt use any soap.

then i just stretched it flat hung them...the green one i layed on a drying rack.

tried to reasearch what era/period that kind of obi is and i think i may have washed something close to a 100 years old!. i feel terrible to say the least

was inspired for some reason today to make 3- wow. i havent made these in a while.
i even managed to fashin a pin back out of felt and a brass pin- awsome! i really like this better than a regular (i mean REAL) pin back..
