They're very nice!  I love the clothes.

Did the buttons and wire work out for you okay?  I used buttons and hairpins on mine, but they were way tiny.

i made these bears from a pattern! they have bendy arms and legs. i really want to post some sort of tute soon because i couldnt for the life of me find bear joints online , well, i did, but they didnt reply to my questions coz i couldnt figure out he order forms in comparison to the pattern requirements... anyway, i ended up using electrical wires and buttons.

the bears are made from denim of this awsome guy ben, who passed away... supposedly these bears look like him and are made from his old clothes...

ah, id report her to admin, and relist. that type of buyer who takes forever, then pays, then cancels the payment sounds malicious.

I did.  I sent her an email asking why she cancelled and if it was a mistake, but I figured I'd never hear from her again and it wasn't a mistake at all.  She's bought alot of stuff on Etsy since 12/11, so she probably ran out of money  Undecided  And I left feedback, too.  I've got a "paper trail" if she tries to leave me negative feedback, and in my note to the admin I said that I was afraid that she would try to do so.

i laughed when i read 'she probably ran out of money'
totally craked me up! im glad you did what you had to ey.
This was my message to here:

For someone who is supposed to have such vast knowledge of mosaics, I find it strange that you have copied, word for word, the intro to my mosaic descriptions. I discovered this when I saw you had hearted one of my mosaics, and so I was interested to see your work as well.

If you had asked I would have been more than happy, and even flattered, but to use my intro in your own description without asking was unnecessary.

This has been on my mind for about a week, and I wanted to mention it to you.
Thank you, and be well.
Helen

Thanks for letting me know how you feel. Have a wonderful new year. Eleanor

I've checked and the intro has been removed. Which was my goal,so I am satisfied, Smiley

ahhh, now i feel better too '-'/

Now this is an odd thing...

I was checking who had hearrted some of my mosaics, when I discovered something weird.

This item had been hearted:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5027847

She is a mosaic artist herself who even teaches to others. So I was checking out her shop, and guess what she did? She used the intro I use in the descritions for all my mosaics pieces, from the very first one I posted.

In my mosaic pieces I use most anything from tiles, glass, porceline, stone, rocks, etc. Each piece is a complete original, and no two could possibly be exactly alike.

See her listing here:

Now I have been thinking on this for about a week, and I cannot decide what if anything I should do. If she had asked I would have been flattered and said no problem, but the fact that she did it without asking bugs me. Not tomention it is rude.

Should I message her or leave it? Am I being petty?  Undecided

have you messaged her yet? i say do it. very uncreative no-no.

i finally calmed down enought to message that chick who was using my pic in her listing. she took it down and didnt reply. then a few days later an etsy admin convos me and is like : 'oh sorry we cant prove anything, maybe you should message her' *shakes fist and throws a bead across the room* so anyway it just makes me think etsy like understaffed and doesnt really care about that kind of abuse/reports etc. at least not unless you call someout in the forums.

Well, I gave her the benefit of the doubt.  I sent her another reminder about her bill today and a little note on Etsy to see if she was ok (hey, things happen) and just to tell her that my policy is that I need payment by day 14 and today was day 10 since she bought the bag from me.  I just checked my email and not only did she pay for the bag, but then cancelled the payment three minutes later!!  I have no clue what's going on, and she never told me why she cancelled the payment, so I had to send yet another message to her asking why, what can I do, and if I should relist the item or not.

She's a new buyer on Etsy, but has 14 positive feedbacks on purchases she's made since Dec. 11.  And all of them say fast payment, including items she bought on the same day as mine!  I'm really afraid to give her negative feedback since this is only the third item I've sold so far and I don't have that much feedback yet and I don't want anything negative from her.  I've done nothing but be positive and tried to communicate with her.  Ahh!!!  Embarrassed

ah, id report her to admin, and relist. that type of buyer who takes forever, then pays, then cancels the payment sounds malicious.

All, so my story has a happy ending after all. The person just convo'ed me again saying she was very sorry and had made a mistake. This is what happened:

I sent her a bonus pair of earrings (I usually do that on multiple orders). The bonus pair were also flowers just MUCH smaller than the ones she had bought. The real pair she bought was still in the tissue paper and she just found them! So we weren't talking about the same pair of earrings and obviously the bonus pair didn't look like the ones in the pictures. So really for them to be as different as the ones she thought she got she was really calm and patient! Grin

thats hilarious! and man she was being nice...

I think I will be shutting down my shop at the beginning of the year.  I have had a great time with it, but the new year is bringing a whole bunch of new challenges that will be demanding my attention.  I have listed all my stock in my shop tonight.  I plan on keeping it there untill about the first week of January.  I will still be around Craftster, so I won't be just dissapearing from the face of the earth, I am just minimising my stress  Grin

minimising stress sounds so good right now! i havent been posting on my blog, it seems sales are down bec. of it? or im not listing much... but not having to think about my blog for a while is kinda relaxing...im so down for focusing on bettering my line for the new year.

I just convoed that person who still has my pic in her listing...etsy hadnt done anything. I was totally calm but grr, you know.
I told her it was bad, not good and very uncreative of her. ahhhh...

I think people are just plain confused about the shopping cart thing. I sold a ring to someone, and still have not been paid. I looked at her feedback, and she now has one positive (she just joined on the 14th of Dec), for a ring that she bought on the same day that she bought a ring from me. She probably checked-out at the same time, and thinks that her one paypal transaction covered it. I have tried to contact her about it several times and have no answer, no payment. If she looked at her paypal account she would see that she has not paid me. If she doesn't pay me by 7 days, I will send one final email telling her she has 24 hours to pay. I will then leave negative feedback. I don't want to do it - but geesh - when you buy something PAY FOR IT.

Sorry - rant over. I'm just frustrated.

this happened to me recently! i sent her 2 payment reminders, then she said she 'already paid me and didnt know why I was having a problem'. i explained that i looked in my paypal and she had not paid yet, sent her another reminder, nothing. then i just relisted, left her a neutral, and reported it coz she has 10 or so positive buys.... frustrating and made me think she was trying to trick me or something.
