its nice to use a flanellette or felted fabric for the body. or anything fuzzy or furry. depends on how well you can sew strechy fabric. Check the ebay link i posted previous for the picture directions or test me by doing the
Instructions by Nicole:
for the hooded bunny CUTTING: the OUTER LINE is the SEWING LINE. disregard the inner line. add seam allowance!
-cut out ONE full body shape and ONE body with no head shape
(see the dotted lines? cut there and the solid line is where you sew).-cut one head shape
in a lighter color.
-cut one widows peak/hood shape.
-cut four ears.
-cut out two dress shapes (using whatever 'dress' fabric). plaid?floral?
-cut little eyes and nose and mouth out of felt or else embroider the face on later or whenever.
SEWING:
-sew the head piece to the body piece. you can sew it by hand with seams showing or by machine with no seam showing.
-sew the hood/ widows peak on the head piece.
-sew the ears, invert and stuff!
-lay the front of the bunny (the hood/head/body piece) on the back of the bunny (fronts facing!).
-sew the two bunny bodies together leaving a space from 'armpit' to 'hip' (for inverting and stuffing)
AND two spaces for the ears (see pattern).
-insert the stuffed ears inbetween the two body pieces. think of the jordy bag straps...
put them in so the opening where you put the suffing in is on top of the head.
-sew closed.
- pull your bunny inside out through the space you left from armpit to hip. the ears should plop out perfectly sewn in the head.
(its like the jordy straps)
-stuff stuff stuff. use a stick or something if your having trouble with your fingers.
-blind stich the hole and
-sew the face on.
-sew the two dress pieces together.
-squeeze your finished bunny into her pretty dress. its hard coz you'll think the head is too big.
OR dont sew a 'shoulder' and hand sew it on after putting the dress on.hmm. im going to this next time.
-clap hugs and kisses
-say aww shes so cute!
