32  bandana purse! eerily roomy! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by RobinLynne on: July 02, 2006 07:07:40 PM
Ok so.  I got this fancy little *PINK!* sewing machine at a Church yardsale for $5, it works perfectly.. but I didn't know this beforehand, so this was my "test run".. a bandana I had no use for, into a purse!

Tadaaa!

And for fun/example's sake, here's how roomy it is; it holds everything that's inside the white... outline.  It could hold more too

that's right, it can hold a pair of SHOES! hahahaha.
(and no I don't carry these things around regularly, they're just for examples Tongue)

just thought I'd share  Smiley

33  weird print clutch... thingy! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by RobinLynne on: June 26, 2006 03:39:57 PM
Ok ok, so it's nothing outrageously fabulous, and I have no idea what I'll even use it for.. but it was fun to try something new (see PLEATS! hahaha)
So here's this clutch thingy I made... the inside is mint green canvas (boooriiinggg. so I didn't even bother to take a picture of it.)

I think it's cute, offbeatishly.  Roll Eyes

34  This post contains no calories! Cut it! New pics! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by RobinLynne on: May 24, 2006 08:30:37 PM
I'm not good with subjects.  So I saw this little tube o' material for like... 62 cents, right? bought it. made it into a skirt.  It's a drawstring a-line thing goin' all crazylike.. but I like it.  especially the brown trim on the bottom.. looks so nice outside! anyway, here it is!

BEFORE^

AFTER! Cheesy

and a teensy close-up of the fabric

and the back is now button-up style; Yay!

so I know it's not great or anything.. and I might remove the drawstring and just install buttons on either side.. I don't know yet. if I change my mind, I'll change the picture Tongue thanks for lookin'! <3

Edit: I just posted and I'm already editing, goodness... I was just thinking, maybe I should hack off the bottom just below the bottoms of the flowers and put the brown binding stuff there instead??? Hindsight's 20/20, I swear.

Another Edit: Cut it and made the back buttonable! see above.. if you haven't already Tongue

35  Pants gone wild! (3 pics, heavy? maybe!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by RobinLynne on: April 13, 2006 05:11:26 PM
I haven't posted anythig in a while.. man!  So I got bored.. and had some (wouldn't you know it..) too small pants! The buttockal (if you've seen any of my previous posts, this makes sense) region, once again.. fits like a charm (AND they're button-fly.. mannn!).. but the legs, alas, they are too shortl.  anyway, cut 'em just above the knee (which was a mistake, oops) added some lace and fake pearlies.. and a couple of bows.. and now we have these:

Here's some close-up

I have weird knees.  That's on the outer side o' the pants. Sweeeet.

Thanks for looking! Comments/criticism/random pointless posts appreciated Cheesy <333

38  It's a switchplate! Only neater! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by RobinLynne on: January 06, 2006 05:40:01 PM
It's my version of a snazzified switchplate.. bob dylan +  rainbow gradient + lyrics + tape = love.

I don't know how readable (legible.. err) the lyrics are, but the go likeee "A lot of people don't have much food on their table, but they got a lot of forks 'n' knives and they gotta cut somethin' "  Gosh darnit, I love Bob Dylan so much.  Whattaya think?

And please excuse my scary wall color.  It really is that horrible  Roll Eyes

39  Minimal Recon polkadot baggy! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by RobinLynne on: December 03, 2005 07:49:59 PM
Not a overtly large recon', but a recon' nonetheless.  It started out as a scarf I found at a thrift store for 25 cents.  Of course, it being polka dotted.. I had to buy it.  Sooo, I've had it sitting around for about 5 months.. never quite sure what to do with it.. but this morning at 1:11AM I decided to make it into a purse.. I just fold it in half, and then in half again, sewed the sides and bottom (for support) and added this lace I got from Wal-mart for 97 cents!  So I have a bag for what.. $1.22? awesome!  It's 9x9.5".. and you can click the image to make it bigger for details.  Grin Whatcha think?

Oh, and I'd also like to mention that all of my cameras (that's 3 in total) are all broken.. so I had to scan it.. and my pin.. my absolute favorite pin ever, (from whammy! industries (http://whammyindustries.com)!!!) says: "The only reason I have cable is to watch food network"
