1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Print Fabric on Demand? on: June 23, 2011 09:33:05 AM
I've heard about places like Spoonflower, but I have a very limited budget for a project.  I'm trying to find either a brown with blue pinstripe or a blue with red pinstripe that I can get at least 3 yards of for less than $30.  I don't need anything more than a cotton because it's not intended for anything heavy duty.  Does anyone have any suggestions for places they may know about?
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Curly Hair question on: May 18, 2011 07:36:10 AM

I had a question that I was hoping to get some advice about.  I've been wanting to make doll based on a character from an anime, and while I'm totally set with how to make the body, the hair is something new for me.

That's the little guy, and I'd like to be able to make his hair less flat.  Dolls I usually make have a very flat shape to them since I use a ragdoll pattern for them.  Does anyone have any recommendations for making the lumpy look for his hair go around the head?
