1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Canning on: July 12, 2011 01:54:23 PM
RElatively new to craftster but this is the first time I've come to the cooking section.  Was glad to see all the recipes especially the canning.  I can anything I can get my hands on that I think my family will eat.  (We raise most of what we eat).  So far this year garden is a little behind.  (My garden is about an acre) But I have managed to can currant jelly and banana jam (I came across a really good buy on the bananas).  Red raspberries are being frozen as I pick them till I get enough to either make jam or syrup. I found a few good recipes here that I'm going to try. And if someone has a question I'll try to answer. Every year we try to add something new this year we planted yellow raspberries.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help! Inch below the waist. NOT! on: May 31, 2011 07:44:07 AM
I bought a really cute pattern for some shorts.  When I got it home I discovered that  it sits 1 inch below the waist. Well I'm 45 years old and don't want my panties or butt showing  Shocked (no offense to the younger generation that doesn't mind this) it's just not me.  How can I fix this.  I got to looking at some other patterns that I have of shorts and pants and they are the same way.  The patterns is simplicity 3796.  Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
