1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Avengers Purse on: July 30, 2014 03:01:09 PM
This project has been pinned to Craftster's Superhero Crafts pinboard!

Thanks so much! And the shape early is great, I've been using it everyday since making it and it's a joy to carry around. Also believe it or not I got the fabric at walmart, who would have guessed these days. I'm thinking about making a baby bag out of it too, there's one a dad wouldn't be ashamed to carry out! Haha if I do I'll post it. I should be posting another marvel one soon too of a tea wallet I'm making for a coworker who is in love with my bag(it wouldn't shock me if she dumped out my stuff and ran with the bag lol)

Yep you read that right it's an Avengers purse!! I've had this fabric for months waiting for the right pattern to use it and I found that in a simplicty pattern(yay for 99 cent pattern sale!) the only thing I had to buy for the bag were the buckles used in the straps. It's got two pockets, a cute kinda hidden one in the front and another on the inside. The whole project didn't even take two yards of fabric. It took me about 6 hours on and off, I'm sure it could be done a lot faster in one whole sitting. Super excited to so off my nerdy goodness Cheesy

Wow this is turning out to be so amazing! I'm in love with that village fabric and the little house that look a bit like trailers Smiley those pins, with the clay rock! I never have thought to do that and your clay work is so good. Again much love for the hoop and spaceship pin cushion! Can't wait to see what everyone else made.

I love this. Where in the world did you find such great newspaper fabric? That's one type that sadly doesn't seem to be made as much now as it should be!

I'm so jealous, Herman is so cute!!! I bet tons of people will envy him as you use him.

Bundy was a horrible killer, as much for the crimes themselves as for showing people that monsters aren't ugly beasts hiding in the dark. He was charged for 30 murders but no-one, I don't think even him knew how many he had killed. Having read a view of the original police files on the case it's amazing that your teacher got away though I doubt she's the only one. Morbid story it might have been for that age group but a good example for girls that age to watch the world around them.

Getting ready to head to the post office! My box turned out to be pretty heavy :/ I'm already worried about shipping lol thankful nothing is breakable! Though one item was just barely past its final stages of drying but it's wrapped so hopefully no harm will come to it or the other things in the box! Totally forgot to take pictures of everything though, of course I remember this as soon as the tape goes on the box Tongue

Happy mothers day to all the mums out there! After some final touches everything is ready to ship out, well I do have to stop at the store and pick something up. Was slightly worried for a minute there about getting the package out on time but yay that's not a worry anymore Smiley hope all is well out in the crafting world!
