Hi, there are going to be a few projects in this post and I hope posting it here is alright. I do see them as needlework as much as if not more than jewelry.

Most are cross stitched on 28 to 32 count canvas or linen. Having cross stitched for years I've always hated that when they are done you put them on the wall and that's it, maybe make a bookmark out of them but I wanted to have a way for my friends, family and myself to show off my work. Hence my cross stitching becoming jewelry   I've yet to find the perfect thing to seal them with, right now I'm using a dry clean friendly Tacky brand glue, so that if something does happen and it gets wet it won't just fall to bits. I do make my own patterns due to the small sizes of the bezels I use, though I will use pictures or patterns for ideas or help if I get stuck while making one.

My apologies a head of time that some of the photos are crappy. Phone and Ipad pictures....sad things....

Star Wars Death Star keychain (made for a friends brothers birthday and it's sealed with an epoxy dome, though I haven't been having much luck with those)

Mario brothers Venus flytrap key chain (made for a friends birthday, it was still drying as I drove to his party.)



A bird done for the old fashion romance swap. (I hate that I didn't get better pictures of this one, it was the hardest thing to part with I've ever made.)



A mustache necklace (a friends Christmas gift, again wish I had a better picture  )


A set of wings with a hallo done for the supernatural Christmas swap. (this one is half stitched, I loved how it made it look like real feathers. I also stitched with both colors at the same time, one strand of black and one strand of pink. Don't know why I never thought to do it before!)


An antique bike keychain (made for my cousin who is crazy about biking. It's set in one of those make your own photo keychain keychains, which worked much better than I thought it would)



And the swan that I made for this months challenge (which has been worn around my neck since finishing)



I've made more, and I could kick myself for not getting pictures of them before sending them off. The first ones I did were Christmas gifts for a church younge adult party, and people have yet to take pictures of them for me haha but it's made me better about taking my own.

So if you've gotten this far, thanks for looking and maybe even reading my inane chatter. Any comments are welcome, as are suggestions!

So this is my first challenge entry (yay!) and I'm as excited as I am nervouse about it. When I first read the opposites description for this challenge I thought of how often what we see in the mirror is the opposite of that others see (for better or worse) and with that in mind started to think things up. While my first idea didn't work out I'm so in love with this charm. The swan and her reflection are cross stitched on 30 count canvas and measure 27mm across by 38mm down. It took me about two hours to draw up a pattern I was happy with another two to stitch it than maybe two more putting it in the charm so a total of six hours at most.

These photos are a bit better, having been taken with my camera instead of my iPad. I did change it from a silver chain to a 18in ribbon. Again the color is truer in the one I'm wearing, which oddly enough came out better than any of the ones that came out on my camera. Thanks everyone for looking and the amazing comments!

Sooooo sorry for taking so long!!! Im not moving, just have a crazy busy life at the moment taking care of my mom, working and going to school.

So first I have to say that this is one of the best swap packages I have ever gotten. Jeannebaby and I seemed to be on the same wave length, seeing as we sent each-other a few of the same type of things. Second Jeannebaby has some amazing wire skills!!!

My great box!! I love that she used the book shaped box, there was more than once that I almost bought and used the same one!!!

From Right to Left, Two water colors that are signed from Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett(they are meant to be bookmarks but I think Im going to frame them.) two cross stitch book mark canvas with floss to make them (there is a pattern included that says dont judge a book by its movie! I love it!!!) A heart pin cushion, and a needle book with the letter B on it (for Bennett I think)


Lots of fun wired and beaded goodies. From wine glass charms to purse and cell phone charms and four pairs of earrings. There is also a good sized piece of beaded ribbon(not sure what else to call it) that will make a great accent on a bag or pillow


A beautiful silver ring, that fits perfectly and has only come off so the picture could be taken.

Oh I'm so glad you like everything!!! After opening yours I felt a bit and about mine but knowing you like it all is awesome.

So here is my amazing package. I'll show the pictures in the order she had me open them. I'm glad they were labeled because I opened the package upside down.

Next is a great little snowman zippered bag. There is also a picture of the lining and the zipper.



An amazing, beautiful necklace that I can't wait to wear.


And last but not at all least is an amazing bag. Frank you are amazing, I have such a lust for this vinyl! And the inside with its little pockets is great. My next night out it will be going with me.


Funny thing about this one too is that I have the same clasp, just haven't worked up the guts to use it

Oh oh I almost forgot about the chocolate goodies. They are chocolate covered peanut butter cookies. Which just so happen to be one of my favorite types of cookies.

So here there are! Frost off is a little Christmas tree, which I love I didn't even think to mention how great I think miniature trees are lol it has hand made ornaments and a string of lights. There are trees with a little symbol thou I'm not sure what it is and what I think are little fishing floaters. Sweetgeek feel free to correct me. It next it my pepper grinding so you can get and idea of it's size.


Ok so when I looked at sweetgeeks etsy I saw that she made guys just like these and was really hoping I would get one, I got not only one but two little clay figures, one is Dean and the over is Cas. There is so much detail on these down to Dean's necklace it's amazing. She also included two chains to go with them. I can't wait to wear them!

So I got my package today!!  Monnie really out did herself, it was such a small box but stuff just kept coming out of it. It felt like Mary Poppin's purse.

So it took two shots to get group pictures, thats all I'm going to post because I don't want to over load you all haha

And sorry the pictures are great, monnie if you took better ones feel free to post them.

We'll start at the top left, a bag of glittery skull ornaments, Halloween paper, glittery witch stickers, a wood burned box with a trinity knot on it, a wire tree and moon necklace, a wire wrapped stone, a wood painted candle holder that says boo with a witch on top, a cute Halloween hoopla that glows in the dark, pumpkin candles and embellishments, a candle, Halloween jelly beans, a painted box with a star and candies inside, a wooden kitty for me to paint, two painted wooden pumpkins, a pumpkin dish towel and matching oven mitts it's all on top of a little drawstring bag she made me too. So much great stuff and it's only part of it


Again the little painted box with candies, a little bag with a witch, labels with all different kinds of deadly goodness, another cute bag that will be my crafting bag, a door hanger with pockets, a pair of Halloween PJ pants, a Halloween vest and some socks. There was also a bag of treats for my cat, which the picky thing she is loves!

I love these, and thank you for putting up a tutorial. I'm ptty new to clay still and have been wanting to try making an octopus but it seemed so intense and this way you get the tentacles without worrying about the rest of the body.

So I made one, I kind of like it, but it's a little too pushed together so learned something for next time. Also, I used a round glass charm, so I wouldn't have to worry about attaching a holding for it. Here's a picture.

It's black and pink but the colors didn't come out very well in the picture.


Again thank you for posting this, it got me over my fear...though for some reason mine looks more like a frog than an octopus haha gotta work on tentacle placement...never thought I would say that haha
