1  Suggestions to fix these? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by cmb on: October 12, 2011 10:16:46 AM
My great aunt asked me to change these earrings into something she can wear in pierced ears. She says the clips hurt her ears, so she doesn't wear them, which is unfortunate because they are adorable.

If you can't tell, they're little turkeys. I don't want to put holes in the turkeys at all, and I'm not sure if there's a way to remove the backs. I can always cut off part of the backs, but I can't figure out what to attach to them so she can wear them again.
I apologize for the size of the 2nd picture...in my photobucket it's not turned sideways and shouldn't be that big.  Huh

2  Re: Bread Making! in Recipes and Cooking Tips by cmb on: July 08, 2011 10:27:54 AM
I love making bread....I just love bread. I have a new favorite recipe that I think is just amazing.

http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/breads/milk-and-honey-bread/

I did not use bread machine yeast, I used 2 1/4 tsp of active dry yeast. I added it to the milk mixture, but I also heated the milk mixture up a little more to get the yeast going a little better.

3  Beginner's Earrings (11 pictures) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by cmb on: May 23, 2011 05:57:38 AM
I've only made a few pairs of earrings, so they are not quite as nice as what the rest of you make. My wire wrapping and making of loops are not my best skills, but I'm working on it.

I'm also not very good at taking pictures, but I swear they all hang nicely and everything is even...some of them (particularly the first pic) look like they are bent, but in person they aren't.  Huh

I made a pair yesterday morning just like this next set, but used the turquoisish beads you'll see in a few pictures.

These are little fake pearls, not quite as white as they appear here.

I added posts to these since I took this picture. These I made in a fused glass jewelry class...I made them much more simple than others in the class did. The colors are also true to life, the blue is really there like that.
