11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 76 Open on: November 18, 2011 06:33:15 AM
I am going to claim atsuko for a Mimi project bag!

1/0/0

Hi Everybody!  A little about me  My family and I live in New Hampshire and I am a crafty mother of 3 beautiful munchkins. A 6 y.o. boy, a 4 y.o. girl and an adorable 2y.o. girl. We are New Englanders through and through. I love to ski and snowboard in the winter and in the summer you can usually find us at the lake (when it is not raining and then you can find me in my craft room). New England sports are the greatest. The New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox are my favs! I have very recently started to work on getting healthy! I am not on a diet I am changing my lifestyle. In the last week and a half I have lost 14 lbs.
I dont really have a favorite color. I like bright and bold for accessories but for decorating prefer beachy colors and reds. However my house isnt decorated in seashells and seahorses. I just like the lightness that these colors bring. All time favorite color combo though is Chocolate brown and aqua. I sew, knit, crochet and papercraft. I do have a pinterest. A surprise from one of my boards would be fabulous!
I love to learn new things and will always try something once. If you have a craft you do and want to send a learn to kit it would make me squee!  Now on to the important stuff! My wish list!
If you make something that you think I would love pm me and we will chat!
We dont have any allergies in our house and  we also love to reuse items so used and in good shape is always good! I will pass on anything that smells like mothballs though.
Anything that says I need 2 can be done in 2 claims. I am putting a lot of my Christmas crafting list on here so I can have a little help.

So I received from the fabulous kartiana today and she spoiled me big time! She sent me a medium flat rate box chock full of stuff. I may have to leave some Advil in the mailbox for our mail lady because this thing was so heavy!

First up look at the amount of scrapbook paper she sent me! (all you scrappers know you are jealous!)

Then all of this paper reclaimed from books. I am going to be able to use most of it for wreaths this christmas and there are a few photos that are going to be framed and go right on our walls!

Next we have patterns 5 in all! I have been looking  for animals and tote bag patterns for a while and haven't found anything I like thank you!

And finally Fabric!!! do you see the one that is pink and green with the bears on it! Yeah that piece has to be at least 3 yards! Ooooh I see some baby stuff in my future!

Thank you Kartiana I love all of it and I really needed a great package right now..

p.s. plaidpineapple your package is at the post office just waiting for 5pm to be scanned I'll get your confirmation # to you in a little bit!

15  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / October SNOW what the F$&^! on: October 30, 2011 09:06:28 AM
So last night mother nature (the B#%$^) dropped 13" of snow at our house. We decided that we needed to be craft outside today. This is what my 6 year old and I came up with. Yeah it is October 30th and no we do not live at the North Pole although my kids told me that Santa could move in next door because we now have snow for his sleigh and reindeers. We live in New Hampshire and we love to ski but this is RIDICULOUS. Just a little side history note. The highest recorded snowfall in the northeast for the month of October is 2.2" yeah we kinda beat that record there.

The two year old in the yard yelling "help, help, I tuck, I tuck"

I made the hat too. (That is how I justify this pic)

Ladies, It has been brought up as an idea and I said I would bring it to you all and see what you think but we would be the deciding factor for this one....

1) with international shipping being so much money, takes forever sometimes why we don't change the rule that as soon as you provide PROOF not PM me and tell me you shipped send a copy of the shipping receipt that you could claim again...what are your thoughts on this HONESTLY? PM if it is NEG and you just dont want to put it here...that is OK too...

just putting it out here as an idea from a great crafter and think it is a good idea myself also....

if this is something we would like as a group to do then need to have input soon via here or PM so that when I go to open OWS 76 in a day or 2 I will have that info on hand and change rule IF it is to be as when the rule is set for the month it cant be changed...

I vote yay!!!!!! I have seen how the international shipping can take a looooooooooooong time for packages. I have not claimed someone overseas just for this reason. I like to have openings as soon as possible. I wonder sometimes if this is why the thread seems to stall when there are wonderful lists and crafters from over the pond!

jamie . . . there are so many things on your list i would like to make for you, but i am stuck waiting on international shipping - blast!

That darn international shipping. I hope that there are some others that share the same sentiment that aren't waiting for international shipping!
p.s. still slowly working on your stuff little bit here a little bit there. You know how it goes.

So after a weekend of not being able to wrestle my DH off the computer I am here to show you all the wonder of what will be part of my tree! I love them all but the little red snowperson on the bottom right is my favorite!

Then she went and spoiled me with all of this goodness. The red fabric is something like pul but more shiny. Any ideas out there on what I can do with it?? The two fabrics in the middle go together very nicely and I see a project bag for my aunt in the future for that fabric.

Lastly a bunch of paper. I have a weekend crop coming up in the beginning of Novermber and these will work quite nicely.

Gamemom you rock thank you sooo much!
