And in another first for me...  a polymer clay tentacle pendant!  I was up till 3am the other day rolling & slicing up all those tiny little suckers.  I think I destroyed & rebuilt this three times before I was happy with the shape.  The tentacle is more purple than it appears to be.

Yeah, I kinda have a thing for tentacles at the moment... first the cookies, then this, & I’ve also done a bleached tentacle t-shirt.

My first ATCs - sent to Imera (she has received).  The first is for her Jane Austen theme - it's a velvet silhouette of Jane Austen on the first page of Pride & Prejudice and the other is an extra for her Circus theme.

This is the first thing completed from my list & my first attempt at Game themed foods – Gingerbread Tentacles for a session of the Cthulhu Role Playing game.

I baked the cookies earlier in the morning, then went out shopping, got distracted & ended up having only 5 minutes to ice these before our friends arrived.  That’s my excuse for the dribbles anyway.  I think they looked cute in the end – my hubby pointed out when I first starting cutting that they looked like shark fins so a little reshaping was undertaken

My most recent card was made for a competition - first time I've ever tried that   I won't know the outcome for a couple of months.  I was attempting to demonstrate stamping technique but the part I'm happiest with is the frame covered in mica fragments.  They're mixed colours - silvers, coppers & bronzes and give a very cool aged metallic/steampunky effect to things.

I painted an image of Lenore from the comic of the same name by the awesome Roman Dirge & made a coffin shaped card.  I raided my hubby's Games Workshop model paints for this cause I don't actually have any paint of my own...  one of the purples came out a little motley but I'm really happy with how the design & colours work on the card.

I recently had the challenge of making a farewell card for a popular colleague who was retiring - it had to be huge!  I was reluctant to send the card all over town to be signed so I came up with the idea of mailing out individual pages and inserting them in the card later.  The card itself was 12inches square & featured my first attempts at making paper roses and sewing pages together.  



I made the roses, flourishes & lettering from Tim Holtz dies, & used papers mostly from Bo Bunny's Timeless collection.  I worked out the roses after watching several You Tube videos.  It doesn't show in the photo but I embossed the flowers behind the roses & highlighted the patterns with ink.  The timepiece in the centre of the winged flower is paper coated in a lot of gloss finish.



I wanted some interesting paper for people to write their messages on so I went with a pre-shaped paper from one of the Kaisercraft Christmas ranges (six sheets used for oodles of goodbye messages)
