Hi Greylin!

A google search always comes up with this webring:  http://www.ringsurf.com/ring/queerknit/

Perhaps check Craigslist to see if an event is coming up?  Also, barnes & noble often hold knitting groups, maybe you can start your own chapter?
Good luck with your search.  ^_^
3  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / Re: I love Book-Off!!!!! on: September 07, 2008 08:46:40 AM
is it just craft books or all kinds of books?

Book-Off has all types of books.  Japanese Manga (comic books), english books translated to japanese, etc.  It's a place that you can sell your old books and buy new and used ones.  They even sell CD's.

They often have sales and crafters may find tons of resources here.   Grin

Here's their website:  http://www.bookoff.co.jp/en/info/kaigai02.html

most people are self critical - it's easy to see the mistakes you've made because you've been there from the beginning.

This dress is absolutely stunning!  I couldn't see any of the mistakes you pointed out... hahahaha I've sewn three things so far, only one of them finished.  I couldn't begin to comprehend the patience this must have taken.

You really have a great talent!  I hope you're persuing a career as a designer or seamstress Cheesy
