11  Re: Tutorial: funky travel bag. . .(pictures) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by J_slice on: May 21, 2008 05:26:23 PM
I made one!!

The only things I changed/added were adding piping around the seams and adding some plastic canvas to the bottom to help it stand up a bit better.

Thanks for a great tutorial!

12  My version of the travel bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by J_slice on: May 21, 2008 05:25:23 PM
I love this bag!  It isn't actually as deformed as it looks, I only had random shaped pillows to stuff it with, haha.  I used some canvas Ikea fabric for the outside and lined it with dark gray sheeting.  I put a piece of plastic canvas in the bottom to help it hold its shape.  The brown rings are wooden beads I found in a bead shop.  Thanks for looking!

LINING SHOT!

14  Wedding make out! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by J_slice on: May 07, 2008 04:00:53 PM
So, my two friends recently got married in Jamaica. I couldn't be there, but decided to make them something.  The background is water colour and the black is just acrylic paint.  I really like doing quick paintings with not too much detail, but I hope it looks good enough to give to them as a wedding present!  Its 16 by 20 inches.

In the picture for some reason, the guy's hand looks distorted and creepy, it isn't that bad in the actual painting! haha

and here's the real picture if anyone is interested...

19  I just finished this! in Mother's Day by J_slice on: May 03, 2006 12:34:58 PM
I got the tote on sale at walmart and added the vinyl swallow and heart.  Inside, I have a plastic thing that twirls in the wind (haha, its hard to explain), some body lotion, nail polish, candies, bridge mixture, a garden shovel thingy, and I'm going to make her some jewelry and a card.  Basically, its filled with random things she likes!

20  Re: classy pleated iridescent clutch TUTORIAL ADDED!!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by J_slice on: May 02, 2006 05:10:19 PM
Awesome tutorial!  I had to try it out today!

The back

The front

The handle can fit inside so that it appears to be a clutch.

The pictures make it look kind of lopsided, but its more straight in person.
