Prepare to be jealous everyone   Quaggy sent me an amazing package! (now I have a bit of swap anxiety...)  I have never had a swap partner that went to the lengths that Quaggy did.  Thank you so so SO much Quaggy :0)

I got it from the mail man and proceeded to open it immediately!



Everything was wrapped in adorable apper and looked like CHristmas in February!

These little heart were scattered everywhere inside and I am holding on to them for future crafting!



The card she made was really impressive.  It was thicker than a deck of cards and had a 3-d effect because of the accordion layers she made! 




She sent me numerous treats! All of them delicious!  I had actually been eyeing those strawberry tic tacs for a few weeks every time I went into the store!  And I love gummy bears <3  And you can't ever go wrong with chocolate!!!




Quaggy made a lot of the items that I thought I might like to have. She really went beyond any expectations I had!   I had asked for a flower for my hair and she made these!  They can be used as a hair clip or a brooch!  An action shot follows!  I love them :0)






Another item I had asked for was a cute girly key chain!  She made this one, with an pretty key on it! It has a heart charm on the bottom that's a bit hard to see, but it adds a nice sparkle to it. Attached are a cute pair of travel scissors.  It's almost too pretty to use!!!



Next,  valentine's themed magnetic note pads!  I am a big maker-of-lists so these are much appreciated.  Sitting on top is a bouquet of lollipops and pencils with amazingly beautiful toppers.  Like crazy, people... these things are gorgeous with all their little beads, bobbles, and buttons!



She also made a little set of kitchen accessories for me!  I love the hardcore girly pink theme!  These are so detailed and intricate with the quilt squares. I am new to quilting of any kind and these blow me away!  They are simply beautiful :0)



Last but not least... A yummy chocolate-scented candle! And a pin/brooch! I absolutely love the pin and will be wearing it a lot. The phrase at the bottom of the card is inspiring and is me to the core!

I can't thank you enough!   Filled with treats, thoughtfulness, and beauty, this was a wonderful package to receive.  As I said before, I haven't ever had another swap partner that's spoiled me like this and I feel very lucky and blessed. Quaggy's crafting skills are amazing and everything she made is beautiful!

OOoo! Love the tawashi :0) I made my mom one of those a while ago and they are fairly quick and easy to make.  I totally forgot about that pattern. Gotta go find it again.

I recieved from Vixen72 today and was so excited when I opened my package!  It's been the highlight of this month for me.  Thank you so much Vixen72, I love what you made and they will definitely get put to good use!

First, some gorgeously colorful and cheery dish cloths.  They are both large, almost the size of a dinner plate. The flower one is my favorite.



Also, some dish cloth/dish towel holders.  I had listed these as something I would love to get as an extra, if my partner had the extra time/ability/inclination for them.  Thank you so much, these are going straight onto my oven handle!  And I like that they match the dish cloths too!  The white one has a darling flower button on it that I adore!

I just received a wonderful package from the very kind Suebee! She was such a sweet swap angel :0)

The package was posted with neat stamps, and everything was packaged in red tissue paper. It was a real joy to open!

First, a post card...



I have long dark brown hair and the first thing I thought when I saw it was...  I should try to do something like that with MY hair! It's a very pretty and elegant post card.

Next, the pot holders....



These are my favorite pattern ever! I am a crocheter, and one would think that I'd just make some for myself, but somehow, other peoples crocheting just seems so much prettier and enjoyable than my own.  On the post card Suebee made a comment about how they turned out thicker than she thought they would.  That's exactly why I love this pattern! They are made out of cotton and are in pretty shades or green and corally-peach. 

Then, a surprise!



Magnets!  She said that her husband made them :0)  I really really like these.  They are just thin square magnets but the vintage fruit prints are just so fun and down to earth! I love these!

And...



They match my table cloth perfectly :0)

Here's my finished product!

The picture doesn't do it justice because my cell phone made the picture have a weird haze that sort of dulls the colors.  In my earlier post in the thread I posted a picture that depicts the colors really well! Vibrant and rich :0)

It's huge and beautiful! It'll make a great beach bag :0)

Here's my finished bag! I used Red Heart Super saver in Peruvian Print.  It turned out huge even though I did the 5 round square and not 7 rounds. I used a 5.00mm hook.  Because my cell phone sometimes takes better pictures and sometimes takes worse... there is a strange haze that dulls that colors in the photo. I apologize.  The colors in real life are vibrant and rich!

I used the pattern from Ravelry, I think it was called the Boy Beanie version 2.0 though I did add an extra row of double crochet, a row of alternating fpdc and bpdc, and finished with a row of single crochet through the back loop only.

Yarn was Vanna's Choice (I love that stuff!)  Light grey, medium grey, and a charcoal black. Sometimes my cell phone takes decent pictures and sometimes it doesn't. I apologize for the haze in the picture.

I totally love it, and hope that he will love it too!

It's for his birthday, and I also want to make a pair of finger less gloves that transition into mittens.  First I have to find a good pattern though :0)

Here's what I've been working on, for my granny square bag :0)  I have about 8 more to go, I think. Then I need to weave in the ends and start sewing them together.

Anyone else interested in soft new bath and spa items? I'm not sure if one of these has been done before. Knitting or crocheting cleansing cloths, back scrubbers, soap savers, bath poofs, or anything else related... I could just picture the extras being yummy smelling soap or salts, a good book to read in the tub, maybe a rubber ducky?

I am not prepared to be a swap organizer at this point in time... Maybe if enough people are interested someone would be able to pick this up and organize it?

Today I received from IMIS! I was so excited to open the package from her!  It traveled all the way from New York City.

Fittingly, she sent me some souvenirs that will help me get around when I make it over to her side of the world!
Also, a really fun Statue of Liberty pen, and a souvenir "smooshed" penny from Toys 'R Us in Times Square! Thanks IMIS for seeing the sights for me :0)



Next, a sparkley pocket sized note book.  The pages inside have a cupcake design on them too :0)  She didn't know this but I love having notebooks this size to throw into my purse and make grocery lists or to-do lists on.



Also, in turn with the note book, a cute set of purple pencils!  The cupcakes on top are needle felted I believe.  And are really cute and fuzzy!  I had mentioned that I would love some "strawberry shortcake" themed cupcakes.  They both have pink frosting and golden yellow cake.  One has a cherry on top and the other a cute little teeny tiny strawberry!



Next, a pair of earrings!  These are made out of bottle caps that she shaped into, what to me, resembles hammered silver discs!  And then decorated them with cupcakes and glitter...!!!  I have already put them in my ears and have been wearing them around the house, to the beach, and to a botanical garden today.  The are really light weight and the perfect length :0)



Lastly, a REALLY lovely, cute piece of wall art, that I haven't quite decided where I'll hang it at.  Either in my kitchen, I have a narrow strip of wall that this would be great on, or else on my front door, because the sign has an adorable mini bell hanging from it (in the upper left corner)!  Also, IMIS managed to make the word "Sweet" look like it was covered with creamy fluffy frosting!  The texture is amazing and I wish the photo would show it off more than it does.



IMIS made my first swap so enjoyable and was a great swap partner to have! She is so upbeat, friendly, and creative. And sent me such a wonderful package!

I made this for the cupcake swap and it turned out so darn cute I really want to make one for my self now! 

It's made out of craft felt but double thickness so that it's durable.  The inside, which I forgot to take a picture of be for sending it to my swap partner, is lined with teal felt, so you get a nice bright pop of color when you open it up!

The details are embroidered and I assembled everything by hand with a blanket stitch, I think that's what it's called anyway.


The cell phone slides straight down into the teal lining which has been sewn in place so that it fits perfectly and the cell phone doesn't get jumbled around inside the cupcake!
