Hi!
After the 'New Home' card went down well earlier this month (
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=406533.0) I went ahead and made a vintage circus themed birthday card. It felt like it took forever, considering there isn't a massive amount going on in it! But I enjoyed doing it

The finished card:

The rope holding the 'Happy Birthday' sign is knotted through both the sign and the card, and the circus sign is attached with some chunky bronze chain (so it clunks about a bit).
The upside-down acrobat in the top left corner is attached by a strand of black cotton that I wrapped around the cutout to match where the rope was in the original image, so she twirls around in a breeze

It doesn't show well in the photos, but the larger acrobats and the circus tickets are stuck on with sticky foam so they stand out from the card a little.
My only definite requirement for the card was that somewhere the black and gold pompom should make an appearance, so on the elephant's hat it went!
Here are close ups of the top and bottom of the card for a little more detail.

I made a bookmark too, which I put inside the card so the tassel was hanging over the edge (didn't think to take a photo though

) but here's a little pic so you can get an idea! The bookmark was just an image printed onto thick paper, glued onto card, and a tassel made from embroidery thread attached through the hole.
The gift box for her necklace I made from black card with a few bits of ribbon, card and a button stuck on for my friend's initial

My friend loved it, so I'm happy
