I made these spooky eyeball plants to set around my front door. There are a lot of little kids in the neighborhood, so I did not want to go too gruesome. The "planter" is a paper mache cauldron I made and the plant it self is styrofoam topiary thing from the craft store that I modified with paper mache.  Happy Halloween!

Hello All,

  So I am looking to find and maintain a space for people to come and create. I was hoping this might be a collective effort, encompassing people a lot smarter than myself to help with the details. I was thinking basically of a large space, where people could rent studio space, take classes, join craft circles (stitch-n-bitch), have a craft fair or two. If it were a perfect world, the space would have a fully appointed wood working and metal shop, with a full time "shop teacher".  Also, I think a sotrage facility (barn) for found art meterials would be cool too. People could drop off their bottle caps and reclaimed wood for craftsters to use in their work. I think Raleigh and surrounding areas could support something like this. It could have the same set up as a golf club memebrship, pay annual dues, have a board to keep things running smoothly, etc.  I know I don't want to golf, I would rather hang out using a spot welder on the weekend.  Let's get this going, post some other ideas or constructive criticism.

Hello,

  So I am totally new to felting, but I have some projects in mind that involved some mixed materials. Is it possible to felt around a wood frame or structure ? I have seen wire used in some of the posts, but was wondering if wood caused problems.

Does anybody recall the sewing patterns or pre-stamped material you could buy to make large soft tinker toys? I remember that a friend had these as a kid. I would like to make them for my son.
