I love black and white to give a spooky Zetti feel to a project!! Last year my halloween projects had a lot of black, green and purple inspired by Graphic 45's Halloween In Wonderland collection. I LOVE working with purple!!!

I really love Mac brushes but have recently started using Eco Tool's make up brushes. They are lovely to use and kind to the enviornment! No shed and really soft on the skin :-)

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stamping on Vellum? on: April 21, 2011 02:39:23 PM
Stayzon works a treat everytime for me. It stays put and you can do whatever you like to it after and it ain't budging!!  Inks like TH distress inks that are water based you can use to colour vellum. Using your heat tool you can 'burn' the ink into the vellum. It causes it to become harder in texture but if you use a brown ink gives the effect of old parchment paper. That trick also works with glimmer mist and vellum. I have a youtube tutorial if you want the link, pm me :-)

Hey,

Don't jump in and buy a tonne of supplies just yet. I found myself with a stash that I just out grew in taste and style. Build it up slowly as you find out what type of scrapper you are e.g. vinatge, distressed, colourful, etc.. Start with glue, sissors, black or brown ink pad and some good scrappy paper. If you are wise with your paper choice you may not need many embellishments. Brands like Graphic 45, Tim Holtz and Prima do papers with lots of design elements and images so a little bit of fussy cutting goes a very long way!!!!! Experiment with items in your home already.. broken jewellery, old shirt buttons, pockets from jeans, stationary supplies e.g. envelopes, old fabric or lace... possibilities are endless. I've wasted a lot of money over the years. Scrapping is not a cheap hobby but you can find alternatives if you are working on a budget!!

Hope that helps.
